Sharing with Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio and Television, many readers, viewers and listeners commented: The content of the resolution shows humanity, has long-term and sustainable meaning, especially for the group of patients in difficult circumstances. People expect that the breakthrough solutions from Resolution No. 72 will create the best conditions for all people to receive health care, improve their physical condition, and proactively prevent diseases.
Humanitarian resolution
Mr. Ngo Thanh Sang (residing in Tam Hiep ward, Dong Nai province) shared that the content he most appreciates in Resolution No. 72 is the resolution aiming at people having access to quality medical services and comprehensive health care. From 2026, people will be able to have periodic health check-ups or free screenings at least once a year, and have an electronic health book created to manage their health over their life cycle, gradually reducing the burden of medical costs...
“This clearly demonstrates the deep, specific and practical concern of the Party and State for all classes of people; ensuring fairness in access to health services. Thanks to that, people with low incomes and difficult circumstances have more opportunities to receive regular health care, proactively prevent diseases, and improve their quality of life,” said Mr. Sang.
Sharing the same view with Mr. Sang, many readers expressed their excitement and expectation that the breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health in Resolution No. 72 will be implemented according to the set roadmap. Specifically, by 2030, people will be exempted from basic hospital fees within the scope of health insurance benefits. Along with that, all commune-level health stations across the country will receive synchronous investment in facilities, equipment and human resources in accordance with assigned functions and tasks. The goal set by 2026 is to have over 95% of the population participating in health insurance; by 2030, to move towards universal health insurance coverage. In addition, more types of health insurance will be developed to diversify people's choices.
Despite having partial health insurance support, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh (living in Trang Dai ward, Dong Nai province) whose mother is being treated for cancer at Dong Nai General Hospital still faces many difficulties in paying for medicine and medical supplies during her treatment. When accessing information from Resolution No. 72, he could not hide his joy and hope: "This new policy is very humane, not only contributing to reducing the financial burden on the family but also adding confidence and motivation for me to accompany my mother to overcome the disease."
Sustainable healthcare development
Believing that Resolution No. 72 will be effective when put into practice, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Huyen (residing in Trang Dai ward) is very excited to know that from 2026, people will be able to have regular health check-ups or free screening at least once a year, and have an electronic health book created to manage their health over their life cycle, gradually reducing the burden of medical costs.
Ms. Huyen highly appreciated this content of Resolution 72 because it has a profound meaning of promoting disease prevention rather than cure. This concern will help people have a healthy body, free from disease, and save money and time.
“Implementing regular health check-ups and free screening is a valuable opportunity to help people detect dangerous diseases early, especially non-communicable diseases such as cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. This helps people access healthcare earlier, increases the chance of successful treatment and reduces the financial burden on both patients and the healthcare system. I believe that if the resolution is effectively implemented, it will create a major change in disease prevention, improving the quality of life and average life expectancy of Vietnamese people,” Ms. Huyen confided.
Evaluating the contents of Resolution No. 72 of the Politburo , Master, Doctor, Specialist II Nguyen Van Dung (Binh Dan Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City) said: This is a document with profound humanity and high feasibility. The Resolution affirms that people are the central subject, given the highest priority in the main physical and mental health care policies, this is the right direction. Because health policies are only truly effective when they closely follow the actual needs and practical benefits of the community.
When people are placed at the center, the health system will be designed to be more service-oriented, friendly, accessible and equitable. At the same time, the focus will be on disease prevention and physical improvement, not just treatment. Doctors will have more favorable working conditions, an improved professional environment, and reduced pressure. Resolution 72 also opens up opportunities to increase investment in infrastructure, equipment, training and remuneration policies - key factors that help the medical team maximize their professional capacity. In particular, promoting preventive medicine and primary health care will help allocate resources appropriately, reduce overload at higher levels, thereby improving the quality of treatment and working spirit of doctors.
Evaluating the contents of Resolution 72 of the Politburo, many experts believe that this is a document with profound humanity and high feasibility. However, to put the goals into practice, it requires the entire political system to have strong innovation in leadership thinking, direction and implementation organization. In reality, when Party committees, authorities and cadres and Party members clearly recognize the key role of people's health care, and actively integrate health indicators into the socio-economic development strategy, the implementation effectiveness will be more obvious and sustainable.
