The man ate continuously for 2 hours at a famous buffet restaurant but then asked for a refund because the food was bad.

The incident happened last August at a famous barbecue restaurant in Thailand.

After eating continuously for 2 hours, the man complained about the poor quality of food and service, claiming that he did not receive service worthy of the money he spent, and then asked the restaurant for a refund.

The clip, recorded by the restaurant's security camera, shows the customer continuously helping himself to meat and eating it non-stop throughout his stay. He also requested a new grill.

The customer then continued eating for another hour. However, after finishing his meal, he asked to see the manager, complaining about the poor service and saying that he had not eaten anything.

In response to the customer's reaction, the manager defused the situation by apologizing several times and offering to arrange a new table, but the customer remained unchanged and left.

"He threatened to write a negative review, so I decided to return the money to avoid trouble," the restaurant manager shared.

The restaurant later checked the security cameras and found that the customer had been eating non-stop for two hours. He had taken a large amount of food during his time at the restaurant.

"Business is getting tougher these days. Dealing with such difficult customers makes things even tougher. We try our best to provide good service and it's frustrating to have to deal with people who take advantage of us like this," the restaurant owner said indignantly.

In fact, there are many controversial situations related to eating buffet.

Not long ago in China, there was a case of a male diner being kicked out of a buffet restaurant for eating too much.

Accordingly, a male diner posted information saying that at a buffet restaurant in Daqing, Heilongjiang, China, a waiter kicked him out of the restaurant because he thought he ate too much.

Local media contacted the male diner shortly after. The man later shared with the media that he often ate at this restaurant, buying a ticket for 89 yuan (about 312,000 VND/person) each time. That day, he bought a buffet ticket to eat seafood, but the incident happened before he had finished his first meal.

The restaurant owner made it difficult for him by saying that he brought his own bowl and that the restaurant only allowed the use of restaurant utensils. Then, the restaurant owner told him to dip the food into the hot pot, wasting the sauce. Finally, the restaurant owner declared that with the way the male customer ate, the restaurant would not be able to recoup its investment. Therefore, the restaurant had no choice but to stop him from continuing his meal.

When contacted by reporters, the restaurant involved said that the male diner had been reminded many times to bring his own bowl but did not listen. However, they did not forbid him from eating and drinking. When reminded about buffet culture, the male diner showed an unpleasant attitude, got angry and left the restaurant. The two sides later reconciled.

However, immediately after seeing the restaurant's statement, the man immediately refuted, asserting that the two sides had not reconciled.

After the incident was reported by the media, the restaurant’s handling of the situation caused much controversy as it failed to ensure the customer’s rights. The excuse that the man ate too much or used his own bowl was not a valid reason to kick him out of the restaurant.

This not only affects the reputation of the restaurant but also violates the principle of buffet service, where customers have the right to choose and eat according to their ability. Most people believe that, instead of showing a negative attitude, the restaurant should handle the problem professionally, respect the customer and find a more reasonable solution.
