Beauty from Binh Dinh crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023

The 21-year-old beauty from Binh Dinh was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023. The first and second runner-up titles went to contestants Dao Thi Hien and Huynh Minh Kien, respectively.

The final night of the Miss World Vietnam 2023 contest took place at MerryLand Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh on the evening of July 22.

More than 15,000 viewers watched live

There was a light rain at the start of the show, but more than 15,000 spectators remained seated to watch the show. The wet stage floor due to the rain was also a challenge for the contestants.

The competition night featured the top 40 contestants competing in the main competitions including Ao Dai, swimsuit, evening gown and behavioral round. From there, the judges selected the top 20, top 10, top 5, top 3.

The judges of the final night include designer Le Thanh Hoa , actress Van Trang, beauty queen Luong Thuy Linh, Tran Tieu Vy, Do Thi Ha... Especially, there is the presence of Karolina Bielawska - the reigning Miss World .

She said this was her third time in Vietnam and she had made many friends here. She highly appreciated the beauty and talent of the contestants in this year's Miss World Vietnam contest.

In the Ao Dai competition, the contestants wore designs by designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam with the Heritage Region Ao Dai collection and the Sound of Waves Ao Dai collection by designer Viet Hung .

The outdoor stage is carefully invested with modern sound and lighting systems, contributing to the excitement of the contestants' performances.

The 10 contestants who made it into the top 10 are Nguyen Ngan Ha, Huynh Minh Kien, Tran Thi Thoa Thuong, Huynh Tran Y Nhi, Hoang Thi Yen Nhi, Do Thi Phuong Thanh, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Dao Thi Hien, Bui Khanh Linh, and Pham Huong Anh.

After the evening gown competition, five contestants were selected for the behavioral round: Dao Thi Hien, Huynh Minh Kien, Tran Thi Thoa Thuong, Huynh Tran Y Nhi and Bui Khanh Linh.

Four out of five contestants answered smoothly and received applause from the audience. Contestant Tran Thi Thoa Thuong was quite nervous and took a long time to regain her composure to complete her performance.

Huynh Tran Y Nhi received the question: "Young people today face a lot of pressure in life. What problems have you encountered and how did you solve them?"

"I was born in peacetime, with all the conditions to develop and improve myself. Therefore, I always try my best. But it's not that I don't have pressure. But everyone has a different starting point, different advantages, we shouldn't compare ourselves with anyone, but look at our own advantages to promote them well," she shared.

Huynh Tran Y Nhi crowned Miss

In the final results, the title of Miss World Vietnam 2023 belongs to the beauty Huynh Tran Y Nhi. The title of First Runner-up was awarded to contestant Dao Thi Hien, the title of Second Runner-up belonged to contestant Huynh Minh Kien.

MC made many mistakes

Taking on the role of MC in the final night were runner-up Thuy Van, runner-up Phuong Anh and MC Danh Tung. However, the connecting role of the MCs was not "smooth". MC Danh Tung often stumbled and hesitated, sometimes his pronunciation was not correct, making the listeners somewhat uncomfortable.

Instead of only the beauty queen performing the final walk like many other beauty contests, at the Miss World Vietnam 2023 contest, the top 3 including Mai Phuong, Bao Ngoc and Phuong Nhi performed the final walk with emotional sharing.

Huynh Tran Y Nhi, 21 years old, from Binh Dinh , is currently a student majoring in business administration at International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University).

She is 1.75m tall, has measurements of 79-59-89cm and won the 2nd runner-up prize of Charming Student of Binh Dinh 2023.
