The midfielder added: “ When the score was 3-3, I told Marcus Thuram that we would overcome them. I was actually exhausted before coming on to replace Calhanoglu because I kept standing outside shouting, my emotions following every ball and every development on the pitch. So, although we were outside, in reality we were playing with them from the beginning .”

Inter Milan will meet the winner of the other semi-final, PSG vs Arsenal, with the final taking place at 2am on June 1 at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
