Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control is an effective place for HIV examination and treatment.
Most patients have been treated with ARV drugs.
Over the past time, HIV prevention and control work in Khanh Hoa has always received attention and support from many local levels and sectors. In particular, the preventive medical team has always been dedicated to helping people infected with HIV, eliminating stigma, and helping them integrate into normal life.

Currently, all HIV/AIDS patients in Khanh Hoa province are examined and prescribed at HIV/AIDS examination and treatment facilities. At the same time, HIV/AIDS patients continue to be transferred to commune and ward levels for management and monitoring.
Dr. Ton That Toan - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control shared, we always identify people infected with HIV as the subjects that need the most dedicated care and guidance. Therefore, through many forms of consultation and communication, medical staff have approached to support people with 'H' in the most effective way. Giving them the most reasonable treatment regimen for them to choose. At the same time, encouraging them to overcome their self-consciousness and inferiority complex.
Currently, people with HIV, if they comply with the treatment regimen of the health sector, can still have a healthy life. The community no longer discriminates against people infected with HIV. To effectively prevent and control HIV/AIDS, Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control continuously strengthens and takes advantage of the direction of HIV/AIDS prevention and control from Party committees and authorities at all levels.

Health workers counsel people at high risk for HIV
The patient's health is stable.
According to the Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control, currently, many HIV-infected people have access to ARV treatment and their health and lives are stable. The treatment method as well as the patients' ability to adapt to ARV have shown positive results.
ARV coverage in Khanh Hoa province is increasingly widespread. After 6 months to 1 year of ARV treatment, HIV will be suppressed and the concentration of HIV virus in the blood will be significantly reduced. Thus, with regular treatment, the patient will have a healthy condition like a person not infected with HIV. During the treatment process, if the patient has any questions, the medical staff will answer them.
Being treated carefully and improving health is the common joy of all HIV patients. They are integrated into the community, living and working like everyone else.
An HIV-infected person, NHT (residing in Ninh Hoa, Khanh Hoa), said that because he had had sex with a high-risk person, he recently had some symptoms of suspected HIV infection, so he went to get tested. When he knew exactly that he was infected, and he was still very young, he was very confused. His spirit also declined, he was worried and restless. Thinking about the coming days, he became even more confused. At this time, T. approached some peers and went to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control for consultation and treatment. Because of the low viral load and early detection, the doctors advised T. to take ARV treatment, which was very effective. Since then, T. has been able to get rid of the heaviness, gradually regain his spirit, and live happily like any other citizen.
Another patient, who was treated with ARV drugs right from the time he was diagnosed with HIV, also said that the drugs were provided in full. Doctors and medical staff gave him dedicated instructions, so his health improved. At the same time, he fully grasped the knowledge about prevention and control to further propagate to other at-risk groups to avoid them in time or get tested early for effective treatment (if detected).
Along with dispensing medicine and providing treatment advice, communication to high-risk groups about safe sex is also regularly done in Khanh Hoa. Up to now, using condoms during sex is still an effective measure.
The local problem is that new HIV infections are often found among men who have sex with men. Therefore, peer educators and outreach workers are stepping up outreach to disseminate necessary knowledge about HIV, especially how to prevent the disease.
