Young people love drama - Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong

Closing the book after a long day of studying, we eagerly went to the Small Stage Drama Theater (Stage 5B Vo Van Tan, Ho Chi Minh City) to watch the play "Cicada and Two Humps". Not as grand as many other theaters, Stage 5B is simple but still full of charm. This stage has no microphone so each line of the actors is more emotional.

The Diu group had a great time watching a play together.

Some of us recalled our childhood memories of being taken to the theater by our parents. Some of us were completely immersed in the vibrant and beautiful art space when we saw the theater for the first time. Away from our phones that night, our group of students felt like we were part of the theater and felt even more connected to each other.

The play gathered many artists from many generations, including famous faces and child actors, but all of them coordinated well, leaving a deep impression. How splendid the artists were when transforming into their characters. To the young audience, they were heroes - representing the truth that "good always triumphs over evil". To us, they also represented the beauty of art, the flames of passion.

The stage is colorful, the characters are diverse and extremely eye-catching.

The audience was enthralled as they were led through each scene, happy and sad through each performance. The humane message, promoting noble ideals, and honoring love were skillfully conveyed in the work. What was also interesting was the response of the actors when receiving "piecemeal" suggestions from the audience. Those direct interactions were truly interesting, bringing many "spiritual vitamins" to all parties.

The play ended with a round of applause. The audience, especially the children, were delighted to give flowers and take pictures with the artists. Our group decided to stay behind and meet director Bao Chu backstage. Listening to his story about the production process, the efforts of the crew, from the actors to the backstage staff, we were even more moved.

Children eagerly took pictures with the actors.

People who are passionate and cherish art still work silently and diligently even though the theater forms are facing many challenges from the wave of technology. We believe that drama still has its own vitality, bringing genuine emotions and different experiences compared to many modern forms of entertainment. The harmonious blend between the profound and sophisticated acting of veteran actors and the freshness and enthusiasm of young actors is also something that should be recognized and encouraged. The theater is not only a place for young people to entertain but also a healthy and useful meeting place, evoking many thoughts and contemplations. We know that the appointment to watch another play together will not be far away...
