Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council Nguyen Phuong Thao said: To improve the effectiveness of the care andeducation of children and adolescents, the Youth Union chapters at all levels focus on innovating the content and methods of operation of the Youth Union Council system at all levels; regularly training and coaching the team of cadres in charge and commanding the team; strengthening coordination with sectors, increasing mechanisms, resources and facilities for the care and education of children and adolescents. Propaganda and education activities on traditions and history are carried out in conjunction with activities towards major holidays. Many effective movements and activities contribute to motivating children to compete in studying, working and practicing.
The Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Young Pioneer Council have also strengthened coordination with relevant units to create favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms, facilities, and resources to organize activities to care for, educate, and protect adolescents and children, paying much attention to children in difficult circumstances, remote areas, and special areas by implementing many specific activities such as: Organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival; Children's Day 1/6; organizing cultural and sports activities; supporting scholarships for poor students who overcome difficulties, building red scarf houses; visiting and giving gifts to children in difficult circumstances in the province. Currently, the Youth Union and Young Pioneer chapters at all levels maintain and sponsor 494 new members and children in difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.
As an organization representing the voices and aspirations of children; supervising the implementation of children's rights, the Youth Union and Teams at all levels have deployed models, playgrounds, and clubs for children such as: Young Reporters Club, Children's Rights Club, School Violence Prevention Club, Gender Equality, etc. In addition, proactively advising the grassroots to concretize solutions to effectively implement the Project " Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union promotes children's participation in children's issues for the period 2023-2027". Expanding training courses to help children effectively exercise their rights to participate in family, school and society; skills to speak up and protect themselves from acts of abuse, violence and abuse.
Currently, the province maintains and establishes 108 Children's Rights Clubs at all levels. Periodically organize activities to collect children's opinions on the policies, laws of the Party and State, major programs and work plans of the Youth Union and Young Pioneers at all levels related to children; organize meetings with National Assembly deputies, People's Councils, and local leaders. The province has organized 7 Meeting and dialogue program with National Assembly delegates, People's Councils, local leaders with 7,309 Children's opinions are received through channels, of which 172 Children's opinions have been sent to government agencies for consideration and resolution.
As one of 5 provinces and cities nationwide where the Central Council of the Young Pioneers has piloted the construction of a Children's Council model since January 2018. From 30 members in the 2018-2023 period, the Provincial Children's Council for the 2nd term, 2023-2027 period has been consolidated and well maintained, including 55 members from 9-16 years old with diverse gender, ethnic, and background structures... Ensuring that each locality introduces and selects at least 1 child with difficult circumstances who has overcome difficulties to participate in the Provincial Children's Council. Every 2 years, the Provincial Children's Forum is organized and every year, team members and children are selected to attend the National Children's Forum and the simulated meeting of the "Children's National Assembly".
The active participation of Youth Union and Young Pioneer organizations at all levels in caring for and educating children has contributed to helping them access basic rights to education, health care, recreation, and entertainment, creating the best conditions for them to develop comprehensively.
