Mount Manaslu, located in the Himalayas, is known for its difficult terrain and harsh, unpredictable weather conditions, making conquering the world's eighth-highest mountain a big challenge even for experienced climbers. Nguyen Manh Duy accomplished this feat under the guidance of Temba Bhote, an experienced Sherpa guide. Bhote, CEO of Adventure 14 Summit Pvt. Ltd, accompanied Duy throughout his journey to conquer Mount Manaslu. Notably, both reached the summit without having to perform descents to acclimatize, a rare feat in the professional climbing world. Mr. Rajendra Dhakal, an official in charge of communications for the Nepalese Government, said that Duy reached the summit of Manaslu at 2:51 p.m. on September 22. This is an important milestone not only for Nguyen Manh Duy personally but also for the field of adventure sports in Vietnam. As for Bhote, he became the first guide to lead a Vietnamese climber to the top of Manaslu, one of the most challenging peaks in the world. Nguyen Manh Duy's success also demonstrates the resilience and determination of Vietnamese people to conquer challenges on the international sports map, while affirming the professionalism and important role of Sherpa guides in supporting climbers around the world.
