Efforts for the development of the homeland
Living in the sandy area of Hai Duong commune, Hai Lang district, young party member Pham Thi Thuy Hang is always concerned about the output of local agricultural products, especially nem products. Ms. Hang shared: “Although Hai Duong nem has a characteristic spicy taste, what we always worry about is that when it is brought to the market, it is still easy to confuse with nem from other localities in terms of color and size.
Along with that, although it is a spice product that is favored by many consumers across the country, because it is a seasonal product, it is only available to consumers from November to July of the following year. Therefore, it is very necessary to have a solution to preserve and deeply process the tubers for consumption on the market all year round.
Thuan Viet Agricultural Cooperative was established in 2024 from the idea of Ms. Hang, selling an average of 30-35 tons of fresh nettles to the market each year; 5-7 tons of processed nettles, contributing significantly to the consumption of agricultural products for local people. At the same time, this is also the place to realize the startup dream of 33 members who are women's union members of Hai Duong commune.
Up to now, the Cooperative has had 3 products recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as achieving 3-star OCOP. All agricultural products of the Cooperative are tested for quality to ensure food safety and hygiene, are issued stamps with barcodes for thrown products, and are recognized by the Department of Intellectual Property for intellectual property rights on labels and brand names.
As a young party member and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Hai Duong commune, Ms. Hang has inspired entrepreneurship and changed the production mindset of party members and union members in the area. "Improving the quality of agricultural products and ensuring stable output for local agricultural products is our goal. Currently, the cooperative is continuing to connect and seek reputable consumer markets to help people feel secure in production and increase income," said Ms. Hang.
As a party member and young cadre at the grassroots level, Head of Klu village, Dakrong commune, Dakrong district, Ho Hien, has made many contributions to digital transformation in the village. The entire Klu village has 178 households with over 700 people. Realizing that digital transformation brings many conveniences in life, living and production, brings positive effects in socio-economic development, gradually narrows the gap between regions and improves the quality of life in ethnic minority areas, Mr. Hien has actively mobilized people to implement it.
With the advantage of more than 70% of villagers using smartphones, Mr. Hien created a common zalo group for the village to post propaganda information and then actively mobilize and instruct people on how to install and use applications on smartphones.
Mr. Hien shared: “At first, it was difficult to propagate and mobilize people to implement, especially the elderly. But gradually, seeing the benefits of the internet and digital technology, people learned and followed. Up to now, the information posted by the village on the zalo group has been followed and shared by many people, transmitting to people quickly and promptly.
Members on the Zalo group also discussed, shared, and responded to opinions. To carry out digital transformation, there is still much to be done. As the village chief, in the coming time, I will continue to study to popularize digital knowledge to people, guide people to install and use utilities to contribute to improving the quality of life."
Focus on party member development
Every young party member, when joining the Party, carries within them beautiful ambitions and ideals, wishing to contribute their efforts to the development of the Party and their homeland.
It is that ideal that motivates the young generation to strive to become party members. Determining that the work of developing party members is an important and regular task of each grassroots party organization, in recent times, the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee have issued many resolutions, directives and projects on promoting the work of developing party members.
In particular, Directive No. 05-CT/TU dated May 7, 2021 "On promoting the work of developing party members in the new situation" aims to strengthen the work of developing party members, effectively implementing the goals and tasks set forth by the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress. Based on the issued directives and resolutions, the Party committees at all levels in the province have set out plans, goals, tasks and criteria for admitting party members. At the same time, they have improved the content and methods of education, training and selection of outstanding people to be admitted to the Party.
In order to discover, nurture and create resources, Party committees at all levels, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have developed many plans and programs to strengthen political education, improve political capacity for union members, and promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle...
Along with that, to improve the quality of the work of creating sources, training, and introducing outstanding members for the Party to consider admission, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has issued many documents directing the work of developing party members among union members, especially in residential areas and high school students with the model of "Party members aged 18". It has established targets for introducing outstanding members and admitting "18" party members in the program of the Union's work and the school youth movement.
Based on the allocated targets, the Provincial Youth Union has regularly followed the grassroots to grasp the situation of training and developing "18-year-old" party members in high schools, districts, towns, and city unions... Thanks to that, the quality of party members has been gradually improved, especially in terms of professional qualifications. In 2024 alone, the whole province admitted 1,655 party members (of which 212 party members were high school students, accounting for 14.6% of the total number of admitted party members).
From a heroic land, Quang Tri today continues its journey of innovation with young people, new thinking and new ways of doing things. Young Party members with intelligence, enthusiasm and aspiration to serve are becoming important nuclei in each Party cell, each movement, each step of change of the homeland. Investing in young Party members is not only a political task, but also an investment in the future of the Party, so that the Party is strong from the root, strong from the base and fully accompanies the People in the new era.
