6.5 billion VND needed to build a centralized wastewater treatment system and traffic roads in Huong Tan Industrial Park

Currently, Huong Hoa District People's Committee directly manages Huong Tan Industrial Cluster with a total area of 12.5 hectares (the land area not yet leased is 0.34 hectares). Huong Tan Industrial Cluster has projects including: sawmill and production of products from planted forest wood of Nguyen Block Company Limited; 2 projects of Thai Hoa Quang Tri Coffee Joint Stock Company including a coffee processing factory and a microbiological fertilizer processing factory that have stopped operating since 2013. In particular, the coffee processing factory project in 2021 was transferred to TL8 Consulting and Construction Company Limited, and in December 2022, it was transferred to Thoi Dai Production Service Trading Company Limited to implement the coffee and agricultural product processing factory project, expected to be completed and put into operation in 2025.

Due to the lack of synchronous investment in technical infrastructure and wastewater treatment system at Huong Tan Industrial Park, it has greatly affected the production activities of enterprises. Previously, Thai Hoa Quang Tri Coffee Joint Stock Company invested in building a part of the wastewater treatment system on an area of 2.5 hectares, designed as a large lake, divided into small cells to be able to treat wastewater from factories in the park (currently the project has degraded).

Due to the local budget's difficulties, the People's Committee of Huong Hoa district has not yet allocated funds to support investment in technical infrastructure of industrial clusters in the area according to Resolution No. 39/2020/NQ-HDND dated July 23, 2020 of the Provincial People's Council.

To attract businesses to invest, the District People's Committee proposed that the province pay attention to investing in building a centralized wastewater collection, drainage and treatment system in the industrial cluster with a total cost of 5 billion VND. At the same time, build a traffic system connecting factories in the industrial cluster (the road is in the planning, the road surface is 9 m wide, 200 m long, bordering the coffee processing factory and the sawmill of Nguyen Block Company Limited) with a total cost of 1.5 billion VND.
