Nguyen Filip returns to Vietnam team

In the list of the Vietnamese national team preparing for the second match of Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup announced by coach Kim on May 22, Nguyen Filip was named thanks to his impressive performance in the club's jersey recently.

When Dinh Trieu has not regained his peak form after being injured, Trung Kien is still inexperienced, the position of "goalkeeper" of the Vietnamese team in the match against the Malaysian team will most likely belong to Nguyen Filip. In this training session, Nguyen Filip will be less "lonely" in the team because the Korean strategist has called up his close teammate - Vietnamese-American player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh (CAHN Club).

The list of 23 Vietnamese players preparing for the FIFA Days in June 2025 also includes striker Nguyen Cong Phuong (Truong Tuoi Club - Binh Phuoc ). Cong Phuong's return to the national team is expected to fill the gap in the attack line left by Nguyen Xuan Son, Nguyen Van Toan, and Bui Vi Hao due to injuries.
