On the afternoon of April 2, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Ngai province (1975 - 2025), a working delegation of Hai Duong Newspaper visited and had a professional exchange session with Quang Ngai Newspaper.

In a friendly and open atmosphere, the leaders of the two agencies shared a lot of information about the formation and development process of the two newspapers, especially in the current digital transformation period.

Informing the working delegation of Hai Duong Newspaper, comrade Nguyen Phu Duc said that Quang Ngai Newspaper was established in 1989. The newspaper currently has 3 publications, including: Quang Ngai Daily (published from Monday to Thursday), Quang Ngai Weekend (published every Friday) and Quang Ngai e-newspaper.

In July 2009, Quang Ngai Newspaper established an electronic newspaper, one of the earliest local Party newspapers to have an electronic newspaper in the country. The newspaper actively applied information technology in managing the editorial office's operations. Although located in two different regions, Hai Duong Newspaper and Quang Ngai Newspaper also have many similarities. That is, focusing on developing electronic newspapers, changing management methods, actively converting to digital journalism, developing a converged newsroom model, making multimedia newspapers, and proactively applying technology to meet new requirements and tasks.

The two newspapers also focus on professional training, regularly organize professional exchanges, and learn from experiences to help staff, reporters, and editors improve their professional skills, meeting the development trends of modern journalism.

Comrade Nguyen Quy Trong gave an overview of the formation and development process of Hai Duong Newspaper. Accordingly, Hai Duong Newspaper published its first issue on December 1, 1961.

From only publishing 3 issues/week, in 2011 the newspaper increased its publication frequency to 7 issues/week, becoming the fourth local Party newspaper in the North to publish daily.

In 2009, Hai Duong electronic newspaper was born, promptly meeting the information needs in the new situation. Hai Duong electronic newspaper has many innovations and strong development.

In recent years, Hai Duong e-newspaper has been focused on development. The newspaper has adjusted its print newspaper, focusing resources on e-newspapers. Hai Duong e-newspaper is often in the top 5 local Party newspapers nationwide with the highest number of visitors and is currently the leader in the North.

Leaders of Quang Ngai Newspaper presented leaders of Hai Duong Newspaper with a book of high-quality reportage and memoir works that have won awards from the province and the Central Government.

Up to now, Hai Duong Newspaper is building and gradually forming a multimedia press agency including publications: Hai Duong News Newspaper, Hai Duong Weekend Newspaper, Hai Duong Electronic Newspaper. Hai Duong Newspaper focuses on developing pages on social networks Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, YouTube. Each publication has its own characteristics, contributing to the diversity of the newspaper.

In 2024, Hai Duong Newspaper was recognized by the Ministry of Information and Communications as having achieved excellent levels of maturity in digital transformation of journalism and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Central Propaganda Department for its propaganda work.
