At the national press conference summarizing the work of 2024 and deploying tasks for 2025, which took place on the afternoon of December 16 in Can Tho City, the Central Propaganda Department awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives with outstanding achievements in press work; 21 collectives with outstanding achievements in information, propaganda, and implementation of political tasks in 2024. Hai Duong Newspaper is one of 21 collectives with outstanding achievements in information, propaganda, and implementation of political tasks.

In 2024, Hai Duong Newspaper will perform well the task of propagating the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws; and the policies and directions of Hai Duong province. The newspaper closely follows current issues to propagate on publications and digital platforms. Notably, it will well organize the propaganda campaign to announce the Provincial Planning to 2030, with a vision to 2050; the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; Party Central Committee conferences, National Assembly sessions; the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; the 220th anniversary of the founding of Thanh Dong and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hai Duong city; preventing and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 (Yagi) and the flood after the storm; rearranging commune-level administrative units; activities to prepare for Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; the rectification and handling of violations of irrigation works; illegal wharves and yards; projects behind schedule; waste of land, public assets...

At the 8th Golden Hammer and Sickle Journalism Awards, author Hoang Bien (Hai Duong Newspaper, far right) was awarded the prize for his excellent work on discovering typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Hai Duong Newspaper focuses on reflecting issues of interest to readers and public opinion; promptly orienting public opinion in response to social phenomena; enhancing the handling of readers' petitions; monitoring the number of readers on electronic newspapers, analyzing trends to promptly provide information that meets readers' needs.

The newspaper organizes many series of articles and multimedia journalism works to increase the newspaper's appeal and participates in journalism awards organized by the Central and local levels.

The e-newspaper continued to be innovated by opening a number of new columns; enhancing information with images, sounds and multimedia works; organizing an electronic condolence book on the occasion of the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; livestreaming many events of interest to readers; soon organizing a special page on the Era of Vietnam's rise, promptly informing about articles, speeches, instructions of General Secretary To Lam and related content.

The online newspaper is regularly in the top 3 local Party newspapers in the North, top 6 local Party newspapers nationwide with the most readers, some months rising to the first position in the North and the third position in the national local Party newspaper.

In 2024, Hai Duong Newspaper invited many famous journalists to train and improve their professional skills. The printed newspaper has many changes such as implementing a special page with one issue, increasing information, images and graphics for news pages; organizing the publication of special issues during the year with many innovations in form and content; initially forming special issues with their own topics.

Information on the newspaper's social media platforms continues to be enhanced. All social media platforms have grown well. The Hai Duong Newspaper Fanpage currently has more than 167,000 followers, is one of the 3 local party newspaper Fanpages with a blue tick, and has the largest number of followers. The newly rebuilt YouTube channel has 3,000 subscribers, and has generated revenue; the restored TikTok channel currently has 317,000 followers, ranking 3rd among local party newspapers with TikTok channels in terms of followers; the Zalo platform maintains daily news posting. According to the results of the assessment of the maturity level of digital transformation of the press in 2024, Hai Duong Newspaper achieved an excellent level.

Many works of Hai Duong Newspaper have won press awards organized by the Central Government: for the third consecutive year, the newspaper won the encouragement prize of the National Press Award; won the special prize of the National Press Award on Party building and the encouragement prize of the Dien Hong Press Award.

The newspaper increased its influence and prestige, and was trusted and cared for by provincial leaders and people.

Also at the 2024 national press conference, Hai Duong Newspaper was one of 28 press agencies awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Digital Transformation of the Press in 2024 by the Ministry of Information and Communications.
