This unique Harry Potter edition is one of 500 hardback copies of the book that was first printed in 1997. 300 of those copies have been sent to libraries. The book is being sold by Christie's as part of the upcoming The Art of Literature: Loan and Selling Exhibition .

“There are a few things that appear to have gone wrong during the production of the book,” Mark Wiltshire, a book expert and co-curator of The Art of Literature exhibition, told Reuters . “For example, on the back cover, the word ‘philosphers’ is misspelled, with the letter ‘o’ missing. Also, on page 53, in the list of items ‘Which students are required to bring… to Hogwarts’, the phrase ‘a wand’ is repeated twice.”
