Since February 2024, Khanh Hoa tourism industry has piloted the opening of Nha Trang night market in Tran Phu bridge park area. This is the first night market in Nha Trang city open from 6pm to midnight every day.

The night market has 65 stalls, mainly selling seafood, local specialties, fast food and soft drinks, some bird's nest products, OCOP products, handicrafts, and souvenirs.

The stalls are designed in the form of colorful carts that can be folded up to return to the public park space for people and tourists to enjoy during the day.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, from Dak Lak , had the opportunity to travel to Nha Trang with his family. As soon as he learned about Nha Trang night market that opens until midnight on the internet, Mr. Khanh brought his whole family here.

“Watching Nha Trang Bay at night with my family is a very peaceful moment” – Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh shared.

Nguyen Quoc Khanh's family is just one of thousands of tourists who choose the night market as a place to have fun during their time traveling to Nha Trang.

According to vendors at the night market, since its first days of operation, the market has always been crowded with customers, especially on holidays.

Mr. Tu, the owner of a seafood stall at the night market, said that when coming to Nha Trang night market, tourists will not encounter the situation of being ripped off or overcharged. The vendors all clearly list their prices.

“We are business people so we are always aware of complying with regulations and working together to develop the image of Nha Trang night market as friendly to tourists,” Mr. Tu shared.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province, Nha Trang night market - Tran Phu bridge park is being piloted by local authorities from now until 2025, associated with the project to develop the night-time economy in Khanh Hoa province until 2030.

According to this project, Nha Trang City was chosen as the key development area, in which the city center will pilot the organization of a walking street; "interactive night market", "Night food boulevard", "experiential food street", artistic lighting works, night shopping areas, and 24/7 convenience stores.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism, said that night markets and night food streets are typical tourism products contributing to the province's night-time economy.

The development of the night-time economy in Khanh Hoa is in line with the tourism development orientation associated with a dynamic, safe, friendly and civilized image, while preserving traditional cultural values, diversifying tourism products and services to maximize the potential and strengths of the province.

Khanh Hoa is expected to pilot additional night markets in Nha Trang City, on Xom Con Street (Xuong Huan Ward) and Hon Mot Area (Vinh Hoa Ward) with specific themes such as cuisine and agricultural products.
