According to Mr. Tuan, growing ornamental apricot trees "seems easy" but is very difficult, to have a beautiful apricot tree, it is necessary to shape, apply pruning and grafting techniques and take care of and monitor regularly. Currently, the demand for apricot trees is very rich and diverse, most customers like compact apricot trees, bonsai style because they are affordable. Some customers with stable economic conditions like to play with large, ancient apricot trees, which are of high value.

"To keep up with customer demand, gardeners have to change from traditional planting styles to new styles. Now customers can buy mai trees anytime, anywhere, at any time, so they don't have to wait until Tet to sell mai trees. As for me, in addition to selling mai trees in the garden, I also sell on social networks like Facebook, Tiktok, YouTube... by livestreaming direct sales. This form of sale can be sold to customers nationwide. On average, my family's annual revenue is about 2 billion VND," Tuan shared.

Revenue of nearly 100 billion VND/year

According to apricot gardeners, this year the weather is not too sunny so the apricot trees are growing quite well, and the flowers are likely to bloom a few days earlier than the Lunar New Year 2025.
