The report at the conference said that in May, the socio-economic situation of the town continued to be stable, people renovated ponds and raised 95 hectares of shrimp, up to now, they raised 262 hectares of shrimp, harvested 331 tons, productivity 3.8 tons/ha. Fishermen went offshore to exploit 1,307 tons of various types of seafood, accumulated from the beginning of the year to now reaching more than 6,297 tons. The value of industrial and handicraft production was more than 287.3 billion VND, accumulated to now more than 1,845 billion VND, up 13% over the same period. The town's budget revenue in the past 5 months reached more than 135.5 billion VND, equal to 74.4% of the estimate assigned by the province.
