
The project is funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) through HelpAge Korea and HelpAge International in Vietnam.
Implementing the Project, the Provincial Association of the Elderly has deployed and established 28 Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs in 28 residential areas in the province, attracting over 1,500 members to participate.
During the Project implementation period from 2023 to 2025, The clubs focus on activities of health care, life, material and spiritual care; helping members develop the economy ; community activities; protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly, supporting knowledge... In which, nearly 150 physical education, sports and art teams have been established and maintained regularly; 100% of the clubs have community support activities, have volunteer teams for home care; over 400 members have received loans for economic development. The clubs have mobilized nearly 380 million VND and many items to support members in difficult circumstances in the locality...

With the results achieved, the Provincial Association of the Elderly agreed to hand over the clubs to the local associations of the elderly for management. At the same time, it mobilized, propagated, and created favorable conditions for the clubs to continue to maintain their activities to contribute to the effective implementation of elderly care activities in the area.
