Japan has strengths in the areas in which Bac Ninh is calling for investment.

On the afternoon of November 17, at Kinh Bac Cultural Center, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province organized the program "Meeting Bac Ninh - Japan". This is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 - 2023).

Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan said that among the 39 countries and territories investing in the province, Japan has about 100 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, mainly in the fields of electronic component manufacturing and mechanical engineering with a registered capital of more than 1.67 billion USD (accounting for nearly 7% of the total investment capital of the province).

In addition to stable operations, Japanese enterprises always comply with legal regulations, actively participate in social security activities, contribute positively to the overall socio-economic development of the province and are considered models of professionalism, discipline, honesty and efficiency in investment.

The Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee affirmed that Japan is a country with strengths in high-tech fields, especially in industries such as ICT industry, digital technology, nanotechnology, biotechnology, new materials, etc. These are the fields in which the province is calling for investment to turn Bac Ninh into an industrial and high-tech development region.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan hopes that the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will continue to pay attention, connect, and provide information about the province's investment environment to Japanese enterprises. From there, further strengthening the friendship between Japan and Vietnam. At the same time, he hopes and respectfully requests that Japanese enterprises participating in the Program will help Bac Ninh spread, connect, and introduce more Japanese investors to join hands in building and investing in Bac Ninh.

Sharing at the program, Deputy Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam Watanabe Shige emphasized that the relationship between Vietnam and Japan is currently considered to be at its best ever with many visits between senior leaders of the two countries to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. In addition to high-level exchanges, many commemorative events with diverse forms have been and are being held in provinces and cities of Vietnam, including Bac Ninh province.

Through exchanges at different levels, including people-to-people and economic exchanges, Mr. Watanabe Shige hopes to accompany and stand side by side with Bac Ninh province; at the same time, he hopes that more and more Japanese enterprises will come to invest and expand their operations in Bac Ninh province.

At the program, leaders of Bac Ninh province, representatives of functional departments and branches provided more information about the potential, strengths, investment attraction orientation of the province in the coming time and the production and business activities of enterprises in the industrial park in general, and Japanese enterprises in particular. At the same time, directly answered the recommendations of enterprises on a number of issues such as: Ensuring stable electricity supply for production; supporting small Japanese enterprises to come to learn about investment; high-quality human resources...

Japanese enterprises also expressed their gratitude for the companionship and support of Bac Ninh province in the past time, and affirmed that with its favorable location and attractive investment environment, Japanese enterprises always consider Bac Ninh as a priority base for investment and production in Vietnam.

Also at the program, the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province and Nihon Toyo Group (Japan) took place; the launching of the provisional Executive Committee of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Bac Ninh province and the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Association of Vietnamese in the Kansai region and the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Bac Ninh province.
