Many special art programs at the Sen Village festival

On the afternoon of April 11, at the press conference about the Sen Village Festival and the "Journey to Sen Village" marathon in 2024, Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An - said that this year's Sen Village Festival, although organized at the provincial level, has the coordination of many localities, ministries and branches.

In particular, Nghe An province will coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to participate in festival activities such as trumpets, cavalry, and plays about Uncle Ho.

Regarding the content of each activity at the festival, the opening and closing ceremonies are being planned methodically and elaborately with the desire to create a different impression and highlight compared to previous years.

Besides, many other provinces and cities across the country also proposed to join and coordinate in organizing the Lotus Village festival.

Ho Chi Minh City will participate in the closing ceremony, which is expected to bring to Uncle Ho's hometown special and meaningful performances on his birthday, May 19.

Since 1981, a singing movement about Uncle Ho, the country, and the Party was born under the name "Sen Village Singing Festival".

In 2002, the Sen Village Singing Festival was upgraded by Nghe An province to a Sen Village festival at the provincial level (held annually) and nationwide (held every 5 years) on the occasion of Uncle Ho's birthday.

Since its first years of organization, the Lotus Village Festival has attracted many classes of people across the country, overseas Vietnamese, and international tourists to respond and participate.

The 2024 Lotus Village Festival has many cultural and artistic activities such as: flower offering ceremony in front of Uncle Ho's statue at Ho Chi Minh Square and parade to Uncle Ho's hometown; Street performance "Lotus blooming homeland", Nghe An marathon 2024 "Journey to Lotus Village"...
