Many activities attract tourists to Can Tho on the occasion of Hung King's death anniversary in 2025

According to comrade Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, on the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Can Tho City organizes the 12th Southern Traditional Cake Festival in 2025, which will take place from April 4 to April 8, 2025, at Binh Thuy District Square, Can Tho City, with the theme: "Preserving and promoting the value of Southern traditional cakes".

The Southern Traditional Cake Festival is a large-scale event, held annually in Can Tho City, to actively contribute to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values, culinary culture of Can Tho City, the Mekong Delta region and provinces and cities across the country. This is an opportunity for provinces and cities across the country to exchange culture, honor and promote traditional cakes and cuisine between regions.

This year's festival is organized with a scale of about 230 booths including: Traditional cake space; Regional specialty space; Culinary space; Ornamental flower display space, with the participation of 18 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and the provinces of the North, Central and Central Highlands. In addition, this year's Southern Traditional Cake Festival also coordinates to organize the Ornamental Plant Competition in Can Tho City.

In particular, the festival will organize a performance and display of “The largest Banh Chung in the Mekong Delta” and a performance of giant lobster pancakes…
