Users are upset and flooded in to rate 1-star hotels.

The case of a girl who booked a room for 3 days and transferred 100% of the money at the Royal Hotel located at 19 Hang Chao (O Cho Dua Ward, Hanoi ), but arrived late to check in and was refused by the receptionist, is becoming a hot topic being discussed by the community.

Below the article by Dan Tri reporter received many comments from readers. In which the majority of readers commented that the case that happened at this accommodation business establishment should be strictly handled, to avoid similar situations from happening.

Reader Minh Ngoc said that the hotel's behavior is no different from fraud because the same item was sold to two people at the same time and they charged twice.

Meanwhile, reader Quang Anh commented that this story shows a big problem in business ethics and weak management. The incident not only breaks the connection between the business and customers, but also destroys reputation. Building a brand and trust with customers has a greater, long-term value than the amount of money that the business intends to "eat" from customers for free.

Reader Anh Bang commented that the receptionist’s action of asking the girl to leave the hotel at 2am was unscrupulous and irresponsible. This behavior is unacceptable.

Also because of these things, currently on Google Maps review platform at the hotel address received more than 33,000 reviews with an average score of 1 star.

Along with that, many criticisms expressed the indignation of users towards the business. Many people believe that, even if the staff did wrong in their job, the hotel owner must be the one who takes the highest responsibility in recruiting, managing, training and ethical behavior.

Many accommodation establishments with similar names "cry out" for being wrongly evaluated.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, many accommodation establishments in Hanoi with names similar to the hotel on Hang Chao street are suffering because the online community has flooded in with 1-star reviews.

A representative of a hotel located in Thanh Tri (Hanoi) said that from the afternoon of November 10, the accommodation facility initially received a few 1-star reviews on Google Maps so they did not pay attention.

After that, the number of reviews skyrocketed, with most of them being one star, causing the hotel's score to drop, which had previously been rated 4.9 out of 5 stars. Following the news and media, the representative learned about the incident at a hotel with a similar name located on Hang Chao Street and asserted that his establishment was completely innocent.

"Just because we have similar names, we suffered the same storm of public anger. By 8:30 p.m. on November 11, the hotel's rating on Google Maps had dropped to 3.8 stars with many negative comments," the representative said.

In an effort to minimize the damage, the facility has now changed its name to Vietnamese to avoid confusion. However, the hotel's social media platforms still receive many unfriendly comments. Some accounts even left messages with the content "better to type wrong than to miss".

Similarly, the manager of a hotel in the Long Bien area said he was surprised to see a sudden increase in the number of reviews on Google Maps, most of which were 1-star. At first, he did not know what was happening. Currently, the hotel's score is 1.8/5, with the majority of 1-star reviews.

"Being unfairly judged has greatly affected our business," said the representative.

Other hotels located in Hang Bong, Phu Doan, Nghi Tam (Hong Ha ward) are also "suffering" because their names are quite similar to the place where the incident occurred. Currently, some establishments have changed their names on Google Maps, even to Korean names to avoid being unfairly judged.

Previously, a guest named Q. said that through the application, she booked a room at a hotel in the area of O Cho Dua ward, Hanoi, for 3 days from November 7 to November 9. The application required the guest to transfer 100% of the money to hold the room.

After paying, the girl planned to arrive in Hanoi on the scheduled date. However, due to an unexpected incident, the guest arrived at the hotel at 2am on November 9. The receptionist refused to let the guest check in because the female tourist arrived too late.
