On the morning of June 27, before the high school graduation exam, Le Quoc - a 12A5 student at Han Thuyen High School (HCMC) - suddenly had his motorbike break down in the middle of the road, about 8km away from the exam site at Phu Nhuan High School.

As the person who received the information, Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Lanh - Vice Principal of Han Thuyen High School - quickly coordinated with relevant parties to handle the problem. Everything from collecting documents to contacting candidates was done publicly, under the supervision of inspectors and police.

Over the phone, Ms. Lanh instructed Quoc to run to the nearest exam site and ask for support in case of emergency. Quoc immediately ran to the nearby Vinh Loc High School exam site. When he arrived, the school gate was closed. Quoc explained the situation and was allowed inside by the exam board.

At Vinh Loc High School exam site (Binh Tan, Ho Chi Minh City), Mr. Hoang Cong Phu - Head of the exam site - said that handling unusual situations like Quoc's was included in the training instructions of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

Upon receiving Quoc’s case, the examination board calmly handled it according to regulations. Quoc ran to the gate of Vinh Loc High School examination site at 7:43 am on June 27, which was 8 minutes after the official exam time started (7:35 am). Immediately, a backup exam room was used for Quoc to take the exam.

Vinh Loc High School Examination Center then made a record and sent the exam papers to the marking board according to regulations. When he was allowed into the exam room, Quoc said that although it took about 15 minutes, he still managed to finish the physics exam and then the history exam.

"If I can't take the exam, I don't know what to do. I will be sad and depressed. I am extremely grateful to the teachers for supporting me so that I can take the exam on time," Le Quoc shared.

Police and traffic police help students overcome rare situations

On the morning of June 26, high school graduation candidates across the country took the first exam - literature. At the Examination Council of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue , a candidate was present at... the wrong exam location. Specifically, the female student needed to be present at the Examination Council of Hai Ba Trung High School (Thuan Hoa, Hue).

When the exam time was close, the invigilator discovered that the candidate had gone to the wrong exam location, so he quickly took the student to the school gate and asked the police to help take the student to the correct exam location nearby in a timely manner.

Also on the morning of June 26, the traffic police force of Bac Lieu province supported 3 candidates to arrive at the exam location on time.

Specifically, upon receiving information from the Examination Council of Bac Lieu High School (Bac Lieu City) about the absence of TTH , Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quoc Tuong asked for the commander's opinion and then used a special car to go to candidate H's house (more than 7km from the exam site) to help take her to the exam site on time. It is known that candidate H. was home alone, stayed up late to study and... fell asleep.

Another candidate had difficulty finding his way to the exam site at Bac Lieu High School, and was assisted by a mobile patrol team to get him to the exam site safely. Bac Lieu Provincial Traffic Police also promptly assisted a candidate to get his forgotten documents home, then brought him back to the exam council at Le Thi Cam Le Secondary School on time.

On the morning of June 26, Khuu Thi Thanh Ngan forgot her citizen identification card at home. This is an important document for candidates to enter the exam room. Major Nguyen Thanh Phuoc, who was on duty at the Binh Tan High School Examination Council (Binh Tan, Ho Chi Minh City) quickly reported to the Team Command.

Immediately, comrade Phuoc was directed to use a special motorbike to take Ngan home to get her ID card. Major Phuoc drove Ngan a total of 15km round trip. At the exam site of Krong Bong High School (Krong Bong District, Dak Lak Province), Nguyen Van Thien - a student of class 12A11, Krong Bong High School - caused a stir when he appeared at the exam site. Thien is 1.25m tall and weighs less than 30kg. At first, the invigilator mistook Thien for a primary school student who had wandered into the school.

Born and raised in a farming family in Cu Kty commune, Krong Bong district, Thien was unlucky to have a body that did not develop normally. Overcoming his inferiority complex, Thien always tried his best in studying. During 12 years of studying, Thien was always a good and excellent student of the school and was an example for many other students to follow.

When asked about his future dreams, the student said: "I will try to pass the high school graduation exam well and then study a suitable profession, so that in the future, I can work, take care of myself and not be a burden to anyone." At school, Thien is loved by many friends because of his sociable and cheerful personality.

At the exam site of Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School (District 10, Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Gia Lam caused emotion. Gia Lam lost all four limbs at the age of 2 due to complications after surgery to treat congenital heart disease. Despite many physical limitations, Lam is always resilient in studying and in life, nurturing the dream of becoming a student majoring in graphic design.

In the recent high school graduation exam, Lam was eligible for special graduation, but he was determined to take the exam to get the score to be admitted to university. Gia Lam was arranged a separate exam room, with a supervisor to help with copying, however, he wanted to write the exam himself.

In studying and daily life, Lam is independent in many things, he takes notes by himself, uses a computer and a phone. Throughout his schooling, he feels lucky to have the support of his twin brother, and teachers and classmates who always love and help him.
