Mirae Asset Securities JSC recommends buying DHC shares of Dong Hai Ben Tre JSC with a target price of VND56,000. DHC is currently trading at VND45,100/share.

DHC operates in the field of pulp, paper and paperboard production. The company's main product line is kraft paper - carton packaging for packaging in the seafood and textile industries.

This enterprise owns Giao Long 1 and 2 factories maintaining a maximum capacity of 840 tons/day; plans to build Giao Long 3 factory with a capacity of more than 1,200 tons/day in 2023 and put it into operation from 2025, increasing the company's paper capacity by 120% from 2026.

With a closed production capacity of 260,000 tons of industrial paper/year and 160 million carton packaging products/year, DHC meets the packaging and consumption needs of domestic and foreign customers.

Mirae Asset said that in the first 6 months of 2023, DHC's net revenue and net profit were VND 1,648 billion and VND 178 billion, down 18.6% and 23% respectively compared to the same period in 2022.

In 2023, the average price of OCC paper (old carton paper) from the US, EU and Japan - DHC's main input material - is forecast to decrease by 25% compared to 2022. Combined with the trend of decreasing sea freight rates, this will be an opportunity for DHC as this business mainly imports OCC by sea.

DHC's revenue and net profit forecast for 2023 are VND4,132 billion and VND388 billion, up 4.8% and 2.6% year-on-year.

MB Securities Joint Stock Company (MBS) recommends buying PHR shares of Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company with a target price of VND 60,900 . PHR is currently trading at VND 49,200/share.

In the first 6 months of 2023, PHR recorded revenue of VND 437 billion, down 28% year-on-year; net profit reached VND 350 billion, up 1%, thanks to land compensation revenue of VND 200 billion from VSIP 3.

PHR's rubber and wood segment profits are forecast to fall 27% YoY in 2023 and remain flat in 2024. Net profits in 2023 and 2024 are forecast to fall 30% and 12% YoY, respectively, to VND621 billion and VND550 billion. From this year, PHR will receive 20% of its profits from VSIP 3, and the Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park expansion phase 2 will start leasing from next year.

BIDV Securities Joint Stock Company (BSC) recommends buying VRE shares of Vincom Retail Joint Stock Company at a target price of VND 38,900 . Currently, VRE is priced at VND 29,500/share.

In the second quarter of 2023, VRE recorded net revenue of VND 2,173 billion, up 18% over the same period. Thanks to good cash flow from shopping mall operations, VRE completed the payment of VND 1,050 billion of bonds maturing in this second quarter. In the first half of 2023, VRE completed 39.8% of the revenue plan and 43.2% of the after-tax profit plan.

BSC has adjusted up its forecast for VRE's business results with net revenue of VND9,631 billion (up 7.3% compared to the previous forecast), and minority shareholder profit after tax of VND3,886 billion (up 10.8% compared to the previous forecast). For 2024, the securities company forecasts that VRE will record net revenue of VND9,857 billion and minority shareholder profit after tax of VND4,152 billion.

With good occupancy rates at shopping malls and good shophouse deployment, Vietnam's modern retail market has great long-term potential and will be the driving factor for VRE's impressive recovery in 2023-2024.
