The television program “Forever the Triumphant Song” celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 1975) was produced by Vietnam Television, taking place in 3 locations: Hanoi, Quang Tri and Ho Chi Minh City, broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. on April 27 on VTV1 (Vietnam Television).
Journalist Bui Thu Thuy, Deputy Head of the Culture and Entertainment Department (Vietnam Television) shared that this is a program that demonstrates Vietnam's desire for peace as well as its will for independence, conveying a message of pride in the country's development and prosperity.
The three bridges are located at Thong Nhat Park ( Hanoi ); the North of Hien Luong Flagpole (Quang Tri) and Saigon Riverside Park (Ho Chi Minh City). These are all meaningful places, connecting the past and present.
Thong Nhat Park (Tran Nhan Tong Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) inaugurated in 1961, is a historical symbol of the desire for peace and North-South reunion. The special national monument of Hien Luong - Ben Hai Riverbank Area (Quang Tri) is a symbol of the will and aspiration for independence and freedom of the peace-loving Vietnamese people. Saigon Riverside Park (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) is a connection between tradition and modernity, demonstrating the vitality of a heroic, dynamic and creative city.
The program will be hosted at the Hanoi location by MC Tuan Duong and MC Hong Nhung; at Quang Tri by MC Tran Long and MC Phi Linh; at the Ho Chi Minh City location by MC Duc Bao and MC Hoai Anh.
With three chapters: “Aspiration for Peace”, “The Will for Independence and Unification” and “We Proudly Go Up! Oh Vietnam”, the television show interweaves the past and present, recreating the heroic history of the nation, demonstrating historical lessons, the spirit of solidarity, and highlighting the country’s achievements throughout its journey of construction and development.
The art performances in “Vang mai khuc khai hoan” are staged on a grand scale in the 3 regions of North - Central - South with diverse forms of expression: MV, live scenes, animations..., with many rich musical colors, recreating the heroic history of the country.
The selected songs in the program bring the audience back to proud historical milestones: “Cau ho ben bo Hien Luong”, “Liberating the South”, “On the construction site bustling with singing”, “Hanoi, faith and hope”, “Marching towards Saigon”, “We are proud to go up! Oh Vietnam”, “Vietnam homeland”…
The TV show “Vang Mai Khuc Khai Trieu” has the participation of more than 1,200 artists, guests, actors, forces..., including many famous artists such as People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, Meritorious Artist Hong Lien, Meritorious Artist Quynh Huong, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Pham The Vi; singers Tung Duong, Pham Thu Ha, Khanh Linh, Anh Bang, S. Jmi Ko, Tang Thanh Nam, Anh Tu, Ha Le, singer Kieu Anh, Hoang Dung, Suboi, Thanh Le...
The highlight of the program is the MV “The Road We Choose” with the participation of 50 faces representing many different fields and professions; the performance “Vietnam Homeland” with the participation of many ambassadors and their husbands and wives from different countries, students and 20 beauty queens, runners-up and beauties in Ao Dai.
Contributing to recreating the country's historical years are reports spanning 20 years and the appearance of many historical witnesses, helping the audience, especially young people, better understand the Great Victory of Spring 1975.
