The tourist destination that has been "popular" recently and is the first stop on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024 is Pa Khom Bay. Pha Khom Bay is located in Pha Mu commune, 30km from the center of Than Uyen district. The bay was formed when Ban Chat Hydroelectric Reservoir was formed. This place has a harmonious beauty between the vast rivers and mountains, creating a charming landscape and is likened to "Ha Long Bay" on the mountain, making anyone who sets foot here very excited.

Coming here, visitors can sit and sip a cup of warm tea made from Pha Mu honey - a 3-star OCOP product on a floating raft and admire and experience tourist services such as: rowing a "kayak" by yourself or renting a motorboat, floating raft to roam on the calm lake, the blue water hidden among the vast green forests. Participate in games such as: zipline, jet skiing or swimming, bathing. You can experience cooking together, enjoy dishes prepared by the ethnic people here from local products and melodiously dance, xoe dance, khen, flute, gong sounds imbued with the national cultural identity. Not only that, visitors can also visit and learn about the traditional occupations of the ethnic groups. At the same time, explore and take photos of the Pu Cay - Pa Khom cave complex, Son Nguu peak, Tinh Tinh peak.

To develop Pa Khom Bay into an attractive tourist destination, the commune has built 5 homestays; some families have also invested in restaurants and accommodation on the water. Thanks to that, each month, it attracts 2,000 - 3,000 visitors from inside and outside the province to explore and experience, contributing to creating jobs and increasing income for local people".

Leaving Than Uyen, we went to Tan Uyen - the land in the Southeast of the province, this place is considered "where honey grows" because of its great potential and strengths with vast green fields, rice fields, and tea hills. This land has 3 famous tourist attractions: Tan Uyen tea hills; Phieng Phat hot spring and Tan Uyen Paradise.

Tan Uyen tea hills stretch along National Highway 32, with a scale of up to 2,000 hectares and an age of 40-50 years. Tan Uyen tea hills are one of the famous photography locations that attract many tourists and couples to take wedding photos.

Soaking in the pure and natural hot spring is an ideal place to relax and rest after a long tiring day. The spring water has a temperature of more than 40 degrees Celsius in the summer and about 70 degrees Celsius in the winter.

This award honors localities and units with high-quality tourism products and services, contributing to the sustainable development of tourist destinations in the ASEAN region.
Coming here, visitors will have experiences about culture, cuisine and legendary stories about the changes of people here to have a better life with 4 things not to do: no drinking; no gambling; no drug use, use of banned substances... Climbing mountains and watching, taking souvenir photos with the heart waterfall, wooden houses, and rammed earth houses of the Mong people. At the same time, experiencing embroidery with the locals and going to the market held every Saturday morning. And, enjoying a unique drink that is not available anywhere else, "honey cardamom tea".
