Emotional moments at the 10th grade entrance exam

(NLDO) - To help their children pass the first big exam of their lives, many parents have taken time off from work to stay at the exam site...

On the morning of June 6, more than 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City entered the first subject of the 10th grade entrance exam. In literature, candidates started the exam at 8:00 a.m., lasting 120 minutes.

At the exam site of Trung Vuong High School (District 1), from early morning there were many parents and candidates present.

Before the exam, Ms. Tuyen leaned on her daughter Ngan Ha's shoulder and hugged her tightly.

Ms. Thanh Tuyen said she took 2 days off from work to accompany her daughter. Although it only takes about 10 minutes from home to the exam site, both she and her husband were present with their daughter at the exam site from 6am.

"This is the first time I've taken my child to take an exam, and it's also the first time I understand the pressure of exams. My child has worked very hard to achieve the academic results he has today, so no matter what the exam results are, I'm still very proud," said Ms. Tuyen.

Taking her child to the school gate, Ms. Chi Cong (District 4) took the opportunity to take a souvenir photo with her daughter. For her, these were wonderful moments, a milestone marking her daughter's entry into a new learning journey.

What Ms. Cong is most concerned about right now is how to make her daughter feel most comfortable. After her daughter enters the exam room, she will go home to work and come back out near the end of the exam time.

"I will go to the exam site early, find the most visible position so that when my daughter arrives, I can congratulate her and hug her" - Ms. Cong excitedly said.

The father attentively watched his daughter review her lessons before the exam.

Before her child entered the exam room, the mother took the opportunity to apply mosquito repellent on her daughter.

Parents rushed to buy water and give it to their children to bring into the exam room.

After taking their children to the exam room, many parents spread out a tarp and had breakfast.

Realizing that her child had left his glasses at home, the mother frantically ran to the exam site at Binh An Secondary School (District 8). Fortunately, the mother was able to return the glasses in time before the school gate closed.

Instead of going home, many parents brought umbrellas, sun-protective skirts, and camped at the exam site during the 120 minutes of the test.
