Young doctors and nurses at the Department of Intensive Care - Anti-Poison ( Phu Yen General Hospital) all call Dr. Chau Khac Toan their master, because he is their teacher in terms of expertise, an example of medical ethics, and the spirit of constantly improving knowledge. Once a patient is transferred here, for Dr. Chau Khac Toan, poor or rich people are the same. The only concern of a doctor is to save the patient's life. Using all medical knowledge, clinical experience and the support of modern means, doctors bring their lives back. "We never let patients die because they have no money" - Meritorious Doctor Chau Khac Toan affirmed. In cases where the patient's family has run out of money, doctors connect and find funding from benefactors so that the patient can continue to receive treatment.

According to Dr. Le Hoa, the growth of the Interventional Cardiology Unit of the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poisoning has the silent contribution of Dr. Chau Khac Toan. After a period of being transferred by Thong Nhat Hospital, the unit gradually mastered the technique of percutaneous coronary intervention. In the early stages, every time a patient with acute myocardial infarction was admitted to the hospital, Dr. Toan was the first person present. He was on duty outside the cardiac catheterization room until the team completed the emergency intervention. For 3 years, day and night, he was always the support for the young intervention team.

As a good doctor, diligent in learning and experienced, Dr. Chau Khac Toan is dedicated to training, guiding and helping young doctors grow in their profession. “Mr. Toan is always enthusiastic in sharing knowledge and experience, citing evidence wherever he talks. He teaches clinically and prepares lectures, conveying them to doctors and nurses during professional activities. He always asks young doctors to update the latest medical knowledge to apply in practice. Dr. Chau Khac Toan is a passionate transmitter,” said Dr. Le Hoa.

In addition to receiving and treating seriously ill and critically ill children, the Department of Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care (Tay Nguyen General Hospital) is also considered a savior for children who are hospitalized and abandoned by their relatives. In the warm arms of Meritorious Doctor, Doctor CKII Hoang Ngoc Anh Tuan and other doctors, these unfortunate children are not only treated but also nurtured and comforted. One of them is Trang's baby girl, who was admitted to the department when she was only 4 days old with a high fever, respiratory failure and was diagnosed with jaundice, increased indirect bilirubin, neonatal infection and congenital heart disease. The baby was brought to the department by relatives and then left without leaving any contact information. From then on, the baby stayed in the department in the arms of the medical staff, receiving treatment and care for every meal and sleep. Doctor Tuan voluntarily donated and mobilized support so that the baby could have more milk and necessary supplies. After more than a year of attachment, when the baby returned to her new home (a family in Tu An ward, old Buon Ma Thuot city adopted her), the doctors and nurses named her Hoang Ha Nhi - a name that encapsulates love and attachment (Hoang is Doctor Tuan's last name, Ha is the baby's biological mother's last name, and Nhi is where the baby was taken care of).

In addition to his kindness, Dr. Hoang Ngoc Anh Tuan is also a dedicated teacher in training the future generation of doctors. He directly teaches and is the examiner for the graduation exams of level I specialists and medical students of Tay Nguyen University. In particular, he has successfully guided 4 graduation theses for level II pediatric specialists, making an important contribution to improving the professional qualifications of the pediatric medical staff in the region. His enthusiasm and teaching methods have strongly inspired and helped many generations of students to confidently step onto the path of medical career. He not only imparts extensive professional knowledge but also teaches us lessons about compassion and dedication to patients. Stories about how he saved children in life-threatening situations or cared for abandoned children really touched my heart."

Despite being busy with his expertise at the hospital, for many years, Meritorious Doctor, Doctor Hoang Ngoc Anh Tuan has still held the responsibility of leader, laying a solid foundation for the Provincial Young Doctors Association. He encourages young medical staff not only to be good at their profession but also to live a good life and be responsible to society. For that reason, he and the Executive Board of the Association regularly organize fundraising, medicine, medical supplies and directly participate with the medical team to bring medical care to places where people are still in need, from the northern mountainous provinces to international humanitarian medical examination activities in KoNhek district, Mundunkari province (Kingdom of Cambodia) and Champasak province (Laos). He believes that these trips not only demonstrate the spirit of mutual love and international friendship but also provide an opportunity for young doctors to rub shoulders, learn and mature.
