20 Vietnamese high school students majoring in Russian had a meaningful month of experience in Russia within the framework of the project “Russian Teachers Abroad” of the Ministry of GeneralEducation of the Russian Federation.

The trip not only helps students improve their Russian language skills, but is also an opportunity for them to better understand the country, people and education of Russia.

According to a VNA reporter in Moscow, on May 30, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation, the “Tradition and Friendship” Fund, and the Vietnamese Association in the Russian Federation welcomed the entire delegation and discussed with the leaders of the International Cooperation Center of the Russian Ministry of General Education about the results of cooperation between the two sides.

Mr. Sergey Malyshev, Acting Director of the Center for International Cooperation of the Ministry of General Education of the Russian Federation, said that the project was implemented since 2017 with the aim of promoting the teaching and learning of Russian abroad, and promoting Russian education.

This year, the program has expanded to include sending high school students from other countries to study at Russian high schools, visit cities and top universities. All travel, accommodation and sightseeing expenses in Russia are covered by the Russian side.

20 students from grades 10 and 11 from Thai Nguyen High School for the Gifted, Thai Nguyen University, and the Foreign Language High School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi , together with Russian teacher Pham Thi Huyen and Russian teacher Ekaterina Kozulina, spent 30 days living and studying at the International Education Center “Interdom” named after the female revolutionary, Hero of Socialist Labor ED Stasova in the city of Ivanovo.

At this 90-year-old school, students directly experience Russia's superior educational principles and goals of comprehensive human development.

Students also have a lot of time to learn about the country, history, and traditional customs of Russia through seminars, visits to famous scenic spots, get acquainted with universities in Ivanovo city and Moscow capital, and directly experience the living and studying conditions of Russian students.

The trip helps students have appropriate orientations in choosing majors and universities in the future. However, the main content of the program is that students study like Russian students at the “Interdom” school to feel and understand the goals of Russian education.

Teacher Ekaterina Kozulina, who accompanied the children throughout their studies at “Interdom,” said that after only a short time in the language environment, the children's communication skills had improved significantly.

She also shared that her time teaching Russian in Vietnam was a memorable experience and left her with many unforgettable memories.

During their 30 days in Russia, the students visited the 800-year-old ancient city of Kostroma, Plyos - a beautifully preserved city that inspired the great artist Isac Levitan, visited the theater, and attended leading universities in Ivanovo and Moscow.

Pham Nhu Bao, a student in class 11B at the Foreign Language High School, National University, shared that his first impression when he arrived in Russia was a strong emotion that still hasn't subsided after several days.

Ngo Minh Hoang, a student in class 11B at the Foreign Language High School, National University, confided that the most interesting thing for him is the Russian people, "both their friendliness and their help, they have helped me a lot."

The beautiful nature, safe environment, and friendly people that they saw during their time in Russia became very convincing "ambassadors" in their decision to choose Russia for their future university studies.

And in the immediate future, bringing with you the good feelings you see and hear about Russia, you will spread those good feelings to your friends, family and relatives in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Counselor Doan Khac Hoang of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation believed that this meaningful trip would encourage and motivate the students' passion for learning.

Counselor Doan Khac Hoang hopes that the students will have more understanding about the country and people of Russia and will have deeper feelings and more attachment to Russia, contributing to consolidating and developing the good traditional relationship between the two countries./.
