Ninh Binh welcomes nearly 300,000 visitors during Tourism Week 2024

It is estimated that during the 2024 Tourism Week "Golden Colors of Tam Coc-Trang An" (taking place from June 1-8), Ninh Binh will welcome 285,000 visitors, an increase of 65.6% compared to 2023.

According to the Department of Tourism's report, this year's Tourism Week, the number of international visitors to Ninh Binh was 61,000, double that of the 2023 Tourism Week. The occupancy rate of hotel rooms in the whole province reached 70-75%, in Tam Coc area alone, the average occupancy rate reached 85-90%, on the opening night of June 1, 2024, it reached 100%. In addition, the number of visitors to other areas outside Tam Coc is also very large, such as Hoa Lu Ancient Town, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Trang An, Mua Cave, Thung Nham...

The number of visitors attending the Opening Ceremony in the Tam Coc area was about 25,000. Due to the good preparation of traffic diversion plans, ensuring safety, security and order in the Opening Ceremony area and the boat dock area and on the main roads into the Tam Coc area, the organization, reception of delegates, security and order, environmental sanitation were well ensured, no accidents and traffic jams occurred at the Opening Ceremony.

This year, the highlight of the Tam Coc - Trang An Golden Festival is the procession of agricultural products on the river, with the participation of 63 boats carrying typical products from regions across the country, as offerings to the God of Agriculture, to honor the beauty and value of agricultural products of the province and regions across the country.

In addition, tourists can visit and experience many cultural and religious activities typical of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu; watch art performances: Water puppetry; Xam singing; Goat fighting festival; visit the display area of ​​traditional handicraft products, OCOP products; art photo exhibitions...
