Ninh Hai: High schools actively review for 12th grade students

In more than a month, the 2023 High School Graduation Exam will take place. Along with high schools in the province, at this time, high schools in Ninh Hai district are actively promoting knowledge review and equipping test-taking skills to help 12th grade students confidently enter the exam and achieve high results.

At Ninh Hai High School, the school's teaching staff is focusing on reviewing knowledge for students participating in the exam to help them master knowledge and test-taking skills before entering the upcoming important exam. Students in all classes have good awareness and attitudes towards studying, proactively following the school's review program. This school year, Ninh Hai High School has 416 students eligible to participate in the high school graduation exam. To prepare well for the exam, in addition to teaching the main curriculum, from week 20 of the school year, the school has started to review 3 subjects of Math, Literature and English for 12th grade students and from week 24 to now, it has organized additional review of subjects in the Natural Sciences (KHTN) and Social Sciences (KHXH) groups, ensuring a minimum of 40 review periods/subject and can flexibly increase review periods to further enrich students.

The new point is that this school year, the school has organized early review classes according to students' abilities, with 3 groups: Group of students with good and excellent academic performance participating in university entrance exams; general group and group at risk of failing graduation. On that basis, the team of teachers with capacity and experience has built review methods suitable for each group of students. Teacher Hoang Van Ty, Principal of the school, said: Currently, the school is in the "sprint" stage of reviewing knowledge for students until June 17. The review content closely follows the basic knowledge and sample test structure of the Ministry of Education and Training , helping students approach the types of test questions and grasp test-taking skills. In addition, the school organizes 2 mock high school graduation exams in early and late May for students to "practice", with a plan to supplement knowledge to help them confidently enter the upcoming real exam.

At Phan Chu Trinh High School, teachers and students are also making efforts every day. To prepare well for the above exam, right from the beginning of the school year, the school has developed a school year plan, a review plan, and a knowledge training plan for students, while also implementing registration for 12th grade students for the high school graduation exam, including 56 students registering for the Natural Science exam and 150 students registering for the Social Science exam. Based on the registration needs, the results of the learning assessment, and the high school graduation mock exam in early April, the school's teachers focus on training and consolidating knowledge for students in two basic and advanced directions. Teacher Nguyen Hoang Dong, Vice Principal of the school, said: With the goal of 99.9% of students passing the high school graduation exam, the school focuses on reviewing knowledge, giving students practice tests in the form of graduation exams from previous years, sample exams from the Ministryof Education and Training, practicing skills in doing exercises, skills in quickly answering multiple choice questions, and guiding students to self-study to achieve high scores. Along with that, the school closely coordinates with parents to manage their children well, creating all conditions for them to review well and achieve high efficiency.

For Ton Duc Thang High School, the work of reviewing knowledge in phase 2 according to the wishes of grade 12 students, divided into 2 groups to choose the Natural Science and Social Science exams is being focused on by the school and is expected to be implemented by June 20. In addition to reviewing knowledge, disseminating exam regulations, guiding students on some experiences and techniques for taking the exam, etc., in April, the school organized a graduation mock exam for grade 12 students to grasp the situation, divide students into streams, thereby adjusting appropriate teaching methods and creating conditions for them to get used to the exam atmosphere to confidently participate and achieve the best results in the upcoming graduation exam.

The 2023 high school graduation exam will be held from June 27 to 30. We believe that with the initiative in reviewing knowledge, equipping students with test-taking skills and preparing other necessary conditions early, thoughtfully and synchronously, students in Ninh Hai district in particular and our province in general will confidently enter the exam and achieve the best results.
