The return of a series of talent shows has created a bustling atmosphere for Vietnamese showbiz after a period of silence, giving way to other entertainment programs.

Specifically, the competitions "Talent Rendezvous", "All-round Rookie", "Vietnam Idol 2025", "Broadcasting Station (+84)", "Em xinh say hi", "Love song across Vietnam"... all have different broadcasting channels on television or on platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Facebook...

If "Em xinh say hi" is a purely Vietnamese program, "Tan binh toan nang" is copyrighted from China. "Diem hen tai tai" produced by VTV also has the participation of the director and crew from China Central Radio and Television (CMG). After a temporary break, "Vietnam Idol" will return on national television with many changes in content.

To increase the appeal, many programs not only buy broadcasting rights from abroad but also invite international experts. Most of the experts in vocals, performance, and dancing are from Korea. The program "All-round Rookie" also invited the team that successfully trained the Korean music group to Vietnam to select and train contestants.

According to insiders, connecting with experienced teams from abroad will help improve the quality of the program. At the same time, this also creates opportunities for domestic teams to gain experience and expertise.

Recent talent shows have also seen a lot of media investment. In addition to basic information about the show, most producers also produce behind-the-scenes clips, providing multiple perspectives for viewers to follow the contestants from different angles.

The common highlight of these programs is the famous panel of judges. With "Talent Rendezvous", the judges include singer Ho Ngoc Ha, singer Truc Nhan and musician Huy Tuan. With "All-round Rookie", the panel of judges are people who are attracting attention such as Toc Tien, Kay Tran, Soobin Hoang Son, ST Son Thach, Slim V... "Vietnam Idol" welcomes 3 judges My Tam, Rhymastic and Phan Manh Quynh.

In addition to the judges, the coaches and the show's hosts are all familiar faces. If the coaches at "Vietnam Idol" are Huong Tram and Duc Phuc, then the host of "Em xinh say hi" with quality, young contestants is Tran Thanh.

Notably, "Broadcasting Station (+84)" is only looking for artistic talents in the Western provinces, including: Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, An Giang, Ben Tre and Tien Giang. The program is not limited to the fields of singing, dancing, drama, circus or stand-up comedy... If passing the selection round, the candidates will officially enter the journey of intensive training at the "common house" in Ho May Tourist Area, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

The program "All-round Rookie" is expected to make an impression on Vietnamese audiences.

The producers of the above programs said that they all aim for the common goal of creating diversity for Vietnamese showbiz. Each program will have its own highlights, aiming to serve different audiences. Therefore, to attract audiences, each program must have outstanding factors such as "quality" judges, "quality" contestants, unique content, and thrilling scripts.

In fact, when launching a program, producers always have to face the problem of creating recognition with the public. However, in talent search programs, there is often not much difference, it is still about discovering the most promising faces to create new stars. For example, the program "Broadcast Station (+84)" features singer Jack. However, Jack has been involved in a scandal about his personal life, so when the news of this male singer participating in the program broke, many viewers reacted, criticized, and created mixed public opinion.

According to experts, the quality of talent search competitions depends 90% on the quality of the contestants. This causes many producers to face difficulties because in reality, many programs still cannot find contestants capable of winning over the audience.

On the other hand, talent search programs do not easily meet the demands of organizers and audiences. For example, "All-round Rookie" was expected to create a boost after the first season of the game shows "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai" and "Anh trai say hi". However, up to now, this program has not created the explosive media effect as expected.
