Estevao Willian is on his way to becoming the next big star of world football. With an impressive goal against Barcelona this morning (November 26), the Brazilian prodigy officially made his name in Champions League history when he was on par with two superstars Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

Chelsea had a brilliant night, crushing Barcelona 3-0 in the 5th round of the Champions League qualifying round. The highlight of this victory was none other than Estevao Willian.

At the age of 18 years and 215 days, he made it 2-0 in the 55th minute with a decisive shot from a tight angle that tore the roof of the net.

With this goal, Estevao reached a historic milestone. He became the third teenager in the history of Europe's most prestigious tournament to score in each of his first three Champions League appearances, behind only Kylian Mbappe (18 years 113 days) and Erling Haaland (19 years 107 days).

This achievement became even more remarkable when Estevao also became the first Chelsea player to score in three consecutive Champions League matches since former midfielder Willian did so in November 2015.

It took nearly a decade for the Blues to have a star do the same, and this time it was a young talent who hadn't even turned 19 yet.

The goal against Barca was described as a personal masterpiece. Estevao used his speed and technique to completely eliminate the opposing defender before unleashing a powerful "cannon shot" that tore through the opposing goalkeeper's net.

Former Chelsea legend Pat Nevin couldn’t hide his excitement when commentating on television: “Start believing the hype! Estevao Willian is a special talent. The way he gets past the first defender, leaving his opponents looking like statues with his super-fast feet and technique.

The angle after that was extremely difficult, but he just blasted it into the net. He will become a great player, it's just a matter of time."

Moving to Stamford Bridge from Palmeiras in just a few months in the summer of 2025, the "Golden Boy" of Brazilian football is proving that all the huge expectations placed on him are completely deserved.
