NTO - Provincial People's Committee reviews the work of directing and managing economic development

On the morning of March 28, comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired an online meeting to review the direction and management of socio -economic development in the first quarter and deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2025. Attending the conference were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Nguyen Long Bien and Trinh Minh Hoang.

In the first quarter of 2025, the socio-economic situation remained stable and grew. The agricultural and rural economy grew steadily, high-tech agriculture was effective. The processing and manufacturing industry recovered and contributed to growth. Renewable energy continued to be effective from completed projects. Tourism activities grew strongly in terms of the number of visitors and service value. Budget revenue achieved positive results, import and export achieved positive results. State management of land, minerals and environmental protection was strengthened. Key and driving projects were focused on to accelerate progress. Social security policies were fully and promptly implemented. Care for policy beneficiaries and poor households was better implemented.

Results of implementing some main targets: Total production value reached 12,771 billion VND, up 9.11% over the same period. State budget revenue reached 1,880 billion VND, equal to 34.2% of the plan, up 43.2% over the same period. Creating new jobs for 5,443 workers, up 17.9% over the same period. The province has also implemented breakthroughs to create momentum for development, focusing on solving problems for energy projects and processing and manufacturing industries. Coordinate with ministries and branches for the National Assembly to issue Resolution No. 189/2025/QH15 on special mechanisms for the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project. Unblocking land resources and disbursing investment capital, approving the 2025 land use plan and implementing the land use fee collection plan. Accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, reaching 12% of the plan by the end of the first quarter. Promote progress of key projects, including the Ca Na LNG power project and the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to have key solutions to promote socio-economic development of the province. It is necessary to closely follow policies and resolutions, especially implementing the set goals and orientations. Concretize policies and resolutions into specific programs, projects and solutions, suitable to the actual situation. Strengthen the leadership role and responsibility of leaders at all levels and branches in orienting and implementing tasks. Ensure the stability of ideology and psychology of cadres, civil servants and public employees regarding policies on reorganizing the apparatus and administrative units at all levels. Enhance the sense of responsibility, discipline and order in performing tasks.

On the other hand, it is necessary to closely monitor economic developments, prices, inflation and the market; proactively develop and propose management solutions and growth scenarios suitable for each quarter and the actual situation of the locality. Promote economic restructuring and in-depth growth model innovation. Apply science and technology, promote innovation and digital transformation. Develop digital economy, green economy and circular economy; improve the competitiveness of the economy. Focus on developing key industries and sectors. Complete the adjustment of the provincial planning, resolve difficulties and obstacles, speed up the disbursement of public investment capital and the implementation of key projects, especially compensation, site clearance, resettlement and resettlement for the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant project. Strongly improve the investment and business environment, perfect mechanisms and policies to attract investment in the province. Strictly manage and effectively implement solutions to collect budget, prevent revenue loss and effectively exploit land revenue; approve specific land prices for ongoing projects, especially new urban and tourism projects. Fully and promptly implement policies on social security, education, health, employment, vocational training and national target programs.
