Talking about the opportunity to work at the oldest television station in the land of kimchi, Quynh Anh said: "I always want to challenge and improve myself. I have been a Kpop fan since middle school, so I have cherished the desire to study abroad in Korea. During my time studying in Korea, I was introduced by a woman who used to work at KBS. I was also interested in program production, so I tried my hand and was accepted to work at the station. Up to now, I have worked for nearly a year."
Trying to become an MC, the female student was confident when entering the studio to try hosting with her fellow MC. Quynh Anh said that confidence is what sets her apart from other candidates, helping her have the opportunity to become an MC of KBS. "I like dancing and participating in the arts club. Participating in arts helps me be confident in front of a crowd, not afraid of the camera, and able to talk to many people," Quynh Anh said. Quynh Anh also said that being an MC at KBS is a completely new challenge. Depending on the nature of each column, a different personality type and script writing style will be required. The female MC advises young people who want to become MCs at KBS to find out in advance what kind of department and column they want to work on to adjust to suit themselves. Quynh Anh shared that the entertainment column she is working on must be cheerful and grasp new trends to incorporate into the presentation. Sharing the secret to becoming a host, the female student revealed: "Dare to think, dare to do, be confident, and talkative are important factors to become an MC at KBS. Besides, my column is the only column with 2 MCs, so while writing the script, I also need to coordinate and interact with the host. During the livestream on YouTube, there will be comments from the audience, so I need to "jump numbers" quickly to interact with the host and the audience." The female student also said that she feels very satisfied with what she has learned and done at KBS.Portrait of Nguyen Tran Quynh Anh

From a bachelor's degree in Korean studies to becoming an MC, Quynh Anh also had many difficulties. The female student confided: "Although I work at KBS, I work in the Vietnamese department so I host in Vietnamese. I have difficulty with vocabulary, because KBS has very high language requirements, and requires precision in terms of words. There are words that I don't know how to translate into Vietnamese, because I'm used to using them in English, so sometimes I'm "stuck" and don't know how to translate and respond to the audience."
During her time as an MC at KBS, Quynh Anh encountered many "half-crying, half-laughing" situations. Quynh Anh recounted: "There was a time when I was counting down to the livestream but YouTube "crashed" so when it was time to broadcast, I still couldn't log in to the YouTube channel, so I was late. There were also times when I played the wrong music when the singer's song hadn't been released yet". The female MC said that "jumping numbers" to respond to comments from her friends and interacting with her co-host was very difficult. The female student shared: "In the beginning, my co-host and I had to carefully study the script, predict what the audience would comment and react to so that we could respond appropriately. Besides, there were sensitive names and incidents that the station restricted from mentioning, but the audience commented a lot, so I had to consider how to say them appropriately". For Quynh Anh, the livestream was completed smoothly, true to the script she performed and everyone commented and interacted happily, which was the motivation for the female MC to overcome difficulties. Quynh Anh is expected to graduate with a master's degree in February 2025. Quynh Anh said that she is very interested in the entertainment industry, so after graduating, the female MC wants to stay in Korea to work at an entertainment company in artist management. Quynh Anh has a message for young people: "Don't think your hobbies are childish and trivial, because if you are passionate and serious enough, those hobbies can take you anywhere you want. Just do it because if you are afraid and don't do it, we can't get results. If you do it, whether you succeed or fail, you will still learn many valuable lessons."Thanhnien.vn
