Focus on drastically implementing key tasks of socio-economic development

On the morning of May 29, Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to listen to and give opinions on the socio-economic situation in May and the first 5 months of the year, key tasks in June 2025 and some important contents. Attending the meeting were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, districts and cities.

In the first 5 months of 2025, departments, branches and localities have made efforts to focus on implementing solutions for socio -economic development. The agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors have developed stably; new rural construction has been promoted, to date 45 communes have been recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards and 6 communes as meeting model new rural standards. The value of industrial production in the first 5 months is estimated at more than 42,500 billion VND, up 17.06% over the same period; export turnover is estimated at 1,229 million USD, up 14.9% over the same period in 2024. The province is focusing on drastic solutions to accelerate the implementation of key projects and promote disbursement of public investment capital. The preliminary disbursement result in the first 5 months is estimated at 3,159 billion VND, reaching 29% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister. In the first 5 months of the year, the province approved and adjusted investment policies for 102 projects with a total newly registered and increased capital of more than 18,800 billion VND, of which FDI capital reached nearly 630 million USD. Total state budget revenue in the first 5 months was more than 17,400 billion VND, of which domestic revenue reached more than 5,800 billion VND, reaching 61.8% of the estimate. The cultural and social sectors continued to receive attention, national defense and security were maintained.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing the report on the socio-economic situation in May and the first 5 months of 2025, and proposed solutions to implement key tasks in the coming time.

In his concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of departments, branches and localities in performing their tasks in the past time, and at the same time requested departments, branches and localities to continue to perform well the key tasks in the coming time. Accordingly, focusing on implementing a number of events and conferences of the province; tasks related to the arrangement of administrative units at the provincial and communal levels and the organization of the two-level local government system, in which attention should be paid to the handover of procedures, documents, records, issues related to finance and public assets. Continuing to resolutely implement measures to combat, prevent and effectively handle smuggling, trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin in the province. Speeding up the progress of key projects, especially site clearance. Continue to review mechanisms and policies according to assigned functions and tasks.

In addition, it is necessary to continue to effectively implement the project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households and the project to support people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs to improve their housing; digital transformation work; pay attention to preparing well the conditions for organizing upcoming exams; disease prevention work in the summer; activities to honor people with meritorious services and policy families on the occasion of July 27. Effectively carry out the work of receiving people, resolving complaints and denunciations. Focus on maintaining political security, social order and safety, ensuring national defense and security. Based on the meeting contents, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned specific tasks to departments, branches and localities.

Also at the meeting, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee listened to and commented on the draft report submitted to the Provincial People's Council to promulgate regulations on bonus levels for Dong Phuong commune, Dong Hung district and Thuy Trinh commune, Thai Thuy district that have met the advanced new rural standards, period 2018 - 2020; reported on the negotiation and signing of contracts with the winning investor to implement the Con Vanh golf course construction investment project; draft project to rearrange the provincial inspection agency system.
