Female student in Hanoi 'shocked' after photos of her changing clothes at a Korean photo studio were leaked

A parent in Hanoi has just reported that her daughter and many other students were secretly filmed in a changing room of a photo studio. According to the complaint, these sensitive clips were later spread on social networks and adult websites.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Tuan (residing in Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi ) said that at about 8:30 a.m. on September 23, his daughter Nguyen Thi Bao K. (born 2007) and three friends went to a photo studio.

Three friends who went with Mr. Tuan's daughter include: Tang Hoai N. (born 2007, Ha Giang ), Nguyen Hoai A. (born 2007, Thanh Tri, Hanoi) and Tran Bao N. (born 2007, Cau Giay, Hanoi).

The place they went to was the Korean photo studio P. on Bach Mai Street, Bach Mai Ward, Hanoi. Here, the two boys waited outside, while Bao K. and Hoai A. went in to register and wait to change their costumes.

According to Mr. Tuan, while waiting, the two girls saw many people going in and out of a common room to change. When they asked the staff about the women's changing room, they received no answer. Seeing other customers also going in that room to change, the two girls followed suit.

According to Mr. Tuan, there were no clear warning signs in this room, nor were there any public cameras installed. The two female students changed clothes, took pictures, and left without knowing.

However, on October 24, a classmate reported that a sensitive clip appeared on social media with a character resembling Bao K. Upon checking, the family was shocked to realize that it was the image of their daughter and her friend, secretly filmed in the changing room of shop P.

“We discovered that 25 private clips of my daughter and her friend were spread on many adult websites and forums. In addition, there were 27 other cases where images were also spread from this location,” Mr. Tuan said indignantly.

After discovering the incident, the family went to the scene and confirmed that there was a hidden camera in the changing room.

When the family contacted the photo studio representative, they did not explain clearly the purpose of the camera installation. They said it was not a changing room and that there was a warning sign. However, according to the family, the sign was obscured by lights, making it difficult for customers to see.

“My child and his friend had no idea there was a camera in the room. They are currently in a serious psychological crisis, scared, and do not dare to go to school. The act of secretly filming and distributing private images is a serious violation of the civil rights and honor of minors,” Mr. Tuan said indignantly.

The family reported the incident to the police, requesting clarification of the responsibility of photo studio P. and the individuals and organizations involved in secretly filming and distributing the clip.

The manager of photo shop P. admitted that the incident was as reported. However, he said that the leaked clip was the result of a foreign hacker attack, not the shop's staff posting it online.

“We informed guests that if they needed to change their clothes, they should go to the restroom. After the incident, we removed the camera,” the manager said.

Bach Mai Ward Police said they are verifying and investigating the incident. Because the incident is complicated and involves many students, the police cannot provide detailed information yet.
