Vietnam women's team changes, 8 HCMC players join the national team

From May 28, the number of national women's team members has been adjusted, when saying goodbye to 3 athletes and welcoming 9 members of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club, who have just finished their mission with the team in the semi-finals of the 2025 Asian Women's Cup C1.

Up to this point, the list of the national women's team practicing currently has a total of 30 athletes. The members who gathered late include coach Doan Thi Kim Chi, the players are: Huynh Nhu, Tran Thi Thu Thao, Chuong Thi Kieu, Cu Thi Huynh Nhu, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan, Nguyen Thi Kim Yen, Nguyen Hoang Nam Mi and Quach Thu Em.

Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Hoang Nam Mi was called up to the Vietnam national team after the semi-final match with Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club.

Three athletes stopped training with the national women's team from May 28, including Ta Thi Thuy, Vu Thi Hoa ( Ha Nam ) and Nguyen Thi Truc Huong (Chan KSVN Club).

During the training week from May 26 to June 1, the national women's team had 3 practice matches with the "blue troops" arranged by the coaching staff. In the friendly match with the Vinh Yen Veterans team on the afternoon of May 26 in Vinh Yen city, the women's players won 3-2.

According to the plan, on the afternoon of May 28, the national women's team will continue to have a practice match with the Bac Ninh Veterans team at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have one more practice match with the Son Tay Youth team before closing the third week of training.

Huynh Nhu and her teammates have about 1 week left to practice in Hanoi before leaving for Japan for training (from June 8 to 18). Coach Mai Duc Chung is expected to finalize the list of 26 players to attend this training session.
