The 2023 Southeast Asian Vovinam Championship will take place from March 25 to 30 in Cambodia, attracting the participation of nearly 200 athletes from 7 countries in the region. This is considered the last important "test" of the countries in the region for the 32nd SEA Games.

The Vietnamese Vovinam team participated in the tournament with nearly 40 athletes, won 9 gold medals, 11 silver medals, ranked second overall after host Cambodia.

It is known that Sam Thuy Boi Nhu is a female boxer from Vung Tau, who grew up from the youth teams and is currently a member of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau team and is currently training with the national team. With the Gold medal won, Boi Nhu has a great opportunity to participate in the 32nd SEA Games if the host chooses her weight class to compete.
