Vietnamese stars sell out tickets when doing international shows

Singer Ha Anh Tuan's live concert "Sketch A Rose" at Dolby Theater, USA on October 18th was officially sold out after 24 hours of opening for sale with 3,400 tickets sold to the audience.

This once again affirms the special appeal of the musical mission that Ha Anh Tuan and his colleagues have been pursuing: A musical journey built from kind things, beautiful ideas and the belief that Vietnamese music can absolutely be sung in iconic spaces of world art.

“Sketch A Rose” marks the first time a Vietnamese artist’s concert has taken place at the Dolby Theatre – the “cathedral” of Hollywood cinema, which welcomes millions of audiences around the world each year during the prestigious Oscar awards ceremony.

Ha Anh Tuan shared: “Sketch A Rose” is something I have been nurturing for a long time. This project is exactly what I did for myself, satisfying all the worries and confusion that I had not been able to confide in anyone.

Like when I was a child, I never dreamed of being a singer, but I often imagined what it would be like to stand on the stage of iconic theaters around the world. And now, when everything seemed safe and secure with my career, I chose the more difficult thing to pursue. That is to realize what I had imagined. Most importantly, I want to end the journey of “Sketch A Rose” at the Dolby Theater with many dreams to entrust to Vietnamese music, for Vietnamese music lovers".

Before Ha Anh Tuan, the artists of “Anh trai say hi” held a concert in Las Vegas, USA. Two concert nights at the Hollywood Planet Theater (over 7,000 seats) on July 27 and 28, 2025, were fully booked both nights despite the high ticket prices (3.9 million to 65 million VND).

The amount of money earned after one hour of ticket sales for the concert “Anh trai say hi” in the US” reached 1.5 million USD on Ticketmaster, a new record for a Vietnamese artist debuting in the US.

Meanwhile, My Tam's live show "My Soul 1981: My Soul in USA" in 2024 in the US also attracted a large audience. Taking place on December 22, 2024, all tickets for My Tam's live show were sold out within 1 hour of going on sale, despite the high price (100 - 300 USD/ticket). My Tam shared that she was extremely excited to receive a warm welcome from the American audience - mainly overseas Vietnamese and international fans.

Opportunity for artists to boldly reach out to the world

The fact that “Sketch A Rose” is held in the US is not only a personal milestone for singer Ha Anh Tuan, but also a strong affirmation of the identity, depth and lasting vitality of Vietnamese music when placed in the global space. His upcoming performance is expected to leave an unforgettable impression on the audience, not only because of the well-crafted music products, but also because this is the first time a purely Vietnamese music project has been fully introduced on one of the most prestigious stages in the world.
