Meet us at the 50th Anniversary of Liberation Day Khanh Hoa province, veteran Nguyen Ngoc Tan, former Deputy Commander of Politics , Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command, could not hide his emotion: “On April 2, 1975, the revolutionary flag flew over Khanh Hoa homeland, marking the event of our homeland's liberation. We, the soldiers of the past, are extremely proud of a time of dedication and sacrifice, together with the Party Committee, government, army and people of Khanh Hoa contributing to the cause of liberating the South and unifying the country. Those who are still alive always keep in mind the days of arduous fighting and the images of our comrades who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Today, witnessing the remarkable changes in the socio-economy, national defense, security and infrastructure of my home province, I am truly happy and excited. Many large projects and works have been implemented, many highways connecting to neighboring provinces have been built. The lives of all classes of people are constantly being improved and enhanced. Images of Khanh Hoa homeland Hoa is becoming more and more beautiful, creating a deep impression in the hearts of international friends".

Recalling the early days after liberation, Mr. Pham Van Chi, former Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee shared: "At that time, the local economy was extremely difficult, mainly relying on fragmented agriculture, forestry and fishery. Industry and services were almost insignificant, there were no large investment projects from the province or from abroad. Even in the period of 1986-1991, after the renovation policy, we were still stuck in the self-production and self-consumption mechanism, including the issue of food. It was not until the early 1990s that Khanh Hoa really had the opportunity to concentrate resources and make a breakthrough.

Under the wise leadership of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, the attention and support of ministries, branches, localities and international friends, along with the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, dynamism and creativity of the Party Committee, government and people in the province, Khanh Hoa has achieved great and comprehensive achievements in all fields. The clearest evidence is the results achieved in recent years. For 3 consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024), Khanh Hoa's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) has always reached double digits (in 2024, it increased by 10.16% compared to 2023), ranking among the top 10 localities with the highest growth rate in the country. State budget revenue in 2024 reached VND 20,443 billion, exceeding the plan by 22.5%. The economic structure has shifted strongly in a positive direction, with the service and industrial-construction sectors accounting for nearly 90% of GRDP. People's lives have been constantly improved, social security has been ensured, and the work of gratitude and health care for the people has been focused on.

In particular, the Politburo's issuance of Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW dated January 28, 2022 on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, opens a new development period with specific mechanisms and policies, creating strong momentum for Khanh Hoa to take off. Comrade Nghiem Xuan Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, said that the locality is focusing on implementing strategic breakthroughs and innovating the growth model, identifying the marine economy as the foundation, and the green and circular economy as the new driving force. The provincial planning to 2030, with a vision to 2050, is being vigorously implemented, prioritizing resources for 3 key economic zones (Van Phong, Nha Trang, Cam Ranh) and accelerating the progress of key transport infrastructure projects such as the North-South Expressway, Khanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot to create momentum for a breakthrough. At the same time, the province has promoted administrative reform, improved the investment environment, and promoted digital transformation. The socio-cultural fields have seen many improvements, social security has been ensured, especially the achievement of sustainable poverty reduction (Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh districts will escape poverty by 2025) and the elimination of temporary housing. National defense and security have been maintained, creating a stable development environment. The work of building the Party and the political system has been focused on, perfecting the streamlined and effective apparatus and improving the quality of the staff.
