CRIEM project to start in July

The Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board is preparing procedures to start the Project on building climate change-adaptive infrastructure for ethnic minorities (CRIEM) - Phu Yen Province component project in July.

The project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of about VND 911.47 billion, implementation period from 2024-2027 and the loan and aid agreement for the project was signed under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang and Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Scott Morris on April 16, 2025 in Hanoi .

The project aims to improve livelihood opportunities, reduce poverty and inequality for ethnic minorities through the development of integrated infrastructure investment to adapt to climate change. The project consists of 3 components: upgrading transport infrastructure; improving infrastructure for production and integrated development; upgrading technology and disaster risk analysis systems to support the development of sustainable infrastructure to adapt to climate change.

To meet the conditions for starting construction of sub-projects, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has recommended that the Provincial People's Committee direct relevant localities to promptly carry out the work of counting, approving specific land prices and relocating infrastructure works within the scope of site clearance to promptly hand over the site to the investor.
