The delegation presented 50 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to orphans in the “Godmother” program and children in especially difficult circumstances. These gifts were distributed to children in 9 districts, towns and cities: Phu Hoa, Tay Hoa, Tuy An, Dong Hoa, Song Cau, Tuy Hoa (5 gifts each); Son Hoa, Song Hinh (7 gifts each) and Dong Xuan 6 gifts.
This is an activity within the “Godmother” program implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union to support and empower orphans in difficult circumstances to have more conditions to go to school and overcome adversity. Thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of humanity, community responsibility, and joining hands to bring a better future for the children.
Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Tran Lan Phuong hopes that the children will continue to strive to study, practice, and overcome difficulties to become useful people for their families and society; and at the same time, she acknowledged the efforts of Phu Yen Women's Union at all levels in implementing the "Godmother" program, contributing to caring for and protecting the legitimate rights of local children.
