Candidates are given their exam papers to be checked one last time by the invigilators, and are informed of the rules and responsibilities when entering the exam room to avoid violating exam regulations.
In the 2025-2026 school year entrance exam for grade 10 at Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, candidates will take 4 subjects: Math, Literature, English and specialized subject.
On the morning of June 2, candidates will take the Literature exam, and in the afternoon of the same day, they will take the Math exam, with 120 minutes per subject.
On the morning of June 3, candidates will take the English exam, with a duration of 60 minutes. On the afternoon of June 3, candidates will take the specialized subject exam, with a duration of 150 minutes.
For Literature and specialized subjects, candidates take essay tests, for Math candidates take essay tests combined with multiple choice tests, and for English candidates take multiple choice tests.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted plans to enroll 315 students in 9 specialized classes for grade 10. Each class has 35 students, including 2 specialized Math classes, 2 specialized English classes, 1 specialized IT class, 1 specialized Physics class, 1 specialized Chemistry class, 1 specialized Biology class and 1 specialized Literature class.
For the 2025-2026 school year entrance exam for grade 10, due to the small number of grade 9 students, the Department of Education and Training will not organize entrance exams for public high schools like previous years, but will switch to the selection method.
According to Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Khac Le, in order for the entrance exam to grade 10 of Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted to take place safely and in accordance with regulations, the department has established an inspection team to check and monitor the exam scores before and during the exam.
