Because the child was illiterate, Hoang Van Thu Ward Police could only collect information that the child's name was Thach Nhan, born in 2010, in Vinh Thinh Commune, Hoa Binh District, Bac Lieu Province. Hoang Van Thu Ward Police continued to contact and verify with Vinh Thinh Commune Police and identified the child's family.

The provincial social protection facility received and provided food and accommodation for the child while waiting for the vehicle to return the child to his family.

It is known that the child comes from a particularly difficult family, the mother left when the child was young; the grandmother is old and weak, paralyzed and unable to walk; the father is not often at home. Therefore, the Hoang Van Thu Ward Police handed over Thach Nhan to the provincial Social Protection Center to receive and support food and accommodation while waiting for the vehicle to return the child to his family.
