Lang Son Enterprises: Learning from Uncle Ho's pioneering work in developing production and business

Learn from Uncle Ho from small things

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once said: The business community must accompany the nation and the revolutionary cause of the Party. To become a good businessman, one must constantly study, practice hard, be resilient, and possess the virtues of diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality, and selflessness.

Imbued with Uncle Ho's ideology, businesses in Lang Son province have pioneered in carrying out the task of developing production and business to enrich society and themselves through specific models and jobs.

Mr. Hoang Van Hai, Director of Lang Son Traffic Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company, shared: The unit always follows Uncle Ho's teachings in developing a production and business development strategy, which is to constantly innovate, apply science and technology to production, and adapt to the market. Accordingly, every year, the unit launches patriotic emulation movements, builds specific models to learn from Uncle Ho from the smallest things to mobilize all cadres and party members in the unit to join hands in implementation.

According to statistics in the period of 2020-2025, the company has launched 12 peak emulation campaigns, the team of engineers has proposed many solutions and initiatives, promoting the application of science and technology, to effectively improve production capacity. Specifically, solutions to improve the quality of survey work on traffic works in mountainous areas of Lang Son province; solutions to improve the quality of consulting and supervision of construction of traffic works; solutions to design traffic works to adapt to climate change...

As a result, in the period of 2020-2025, the unit has completed more than 400 consulting contracts for survey, design and supervision of traffic infrastructure projects, which have been highly appreciated by investors and partners. Thereby, contributing to the over-fulfillment of the proposed production and business plan, and improving workers' income.

Phu Loc Investment and Construction Group Joint Stock Company is a multi-industry business enterprise, in which the main production activities are investment, construction, construction material production, restaurant services, event organization, etc. Therefore, the unit always attaches importance to the task of building corporate culture associated with building and replicating the model of learning and following Uncle Ho in accordance with the unit's characteristics.

Mr. Lai Quoc Toan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, said: To put the content of learning and following Uncle Ho into operation, the unit has established a separate advisory group on the topic of learning and following Uncle Ho to build a corporate culture, meeting the requirements of sustainable development. At the same time, the unit also built a model: "Saving following Uncle Ho's example"; "Promoting initiatives, technical improvements, saving, and fighting waste in production and business".

Through the implementation of the models, in 2023 and 2024, the company saved 45 million VND on stationery purchases and electricity; built and effectively implemented regulations on ethical standards for officials, party members, and employees of the company.

In addition to the two typical enterprises mentioned above, in the province there are dozens of enterprises that have been doing well in learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings in implementing solutions for sustainable production and business development such as: Xuan Cuong Friendship Joint Stock Company; Bao Long Limited Liability Company; Lang Son Production and Trading Joint Stock Company; DK Viet Nhat Electric Vehicle One Member Limited Liability Company; Cua Dong Development Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company; Lang Son Tourism and Import-Export Joint Stock Company, etc.

Thanks to that, in recent years, enterprises have made important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province. Specifically, in 2024 and the first 4 months of 2025, enterprises paid the state budget about 1,200 billion VND (in 2024 it was 814 billion VND and in the first 4 months of 2025 it was more than 385 billion VND), enterprises have created stable jobs for about 60,000 workers.

Promoting digital transformation - the driving force for business development

Through practical research, Lang Son business community is now fully aware of the importance of digital transformation and identifies this as an important driving force to promote business development.

Mr. Nguyen The Hung, Director of Tan Loc Petroleum Trading Company Limited, Chairman of Loc Binh District Business Association shared: Implementing Uncle Ho's teachings on the role of the industrial and commercial sector in building a stable and prosperous economy and finance, as a small enterprise in Loc Binh District, we are more imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings, from which we continuously study and apply information technology to serve management and develop production and business. Accordingly, the company has invested tens of millions of VND to purchase and exploit software for revenue management, sales control, human resource management, etc. effectively since the establishment of the enterprise in 2022. At the same time, as the head of Loc Binh District Business Association, I always proactively share with members my experience in applying information technology to business administration as well as mobilizing members to comply with the policy of registering online business electronic identification on VneID.

As of May 24, 2025, the province registered to establish 276 new enterprises, reaching 39.4% of the plan with a total registered capital of VND 2,472 billion; the province has a total of 5,477 enterprises with a total registered capital of more than VND 62.56 billion. Also during this period, the province has established 24 new cooperatives, reaching 43.6% of the plan with a total registered capital of VND 43.7 billion; the province has a total of 569 cooperatives with a total registered capital of VND 1,190 billion.

Similarly, at Thien Phu Construction Trading Company Limited, the application of information technology and digital transformation is given special importance by the unit. Mr. Tran The Kien, Director of the company, said: The unit specializes in the field of trade and services, so the application of information technology and digital transformation is very important to meet the requirements of integration. Therefore, the unit has promoted the application of software for business administration, strengthened links with enterprises in the field of science and technology to improve the capacity of applying technology, digital transformation and developing an electronic information page to promote products, develop brands, etc.

According to statistics, as of mid-May 2025, 100% of enterprises in the province have applied technology software to serve business administration; 10 enterprises have received support from provincial departments and branches to design and build electronic news sites to promote their brands and products; 100% of enterprises use virtual assistants to support administrative procedures and use online public services of the province; 100% of enterprises and traders importing and exporting goods are provided with digital services on the digital border gate platform; the scale of the province's digital economy on GRDP in 2022 will reach 12.52% nationwide, ranking 12th out of 63 provinces and cities.

As the core force in developing production and business, creating many jobs for workers, Lang Son business community has well implemented Uncle Ho's teachings on pioneering in economic development, thereby making important contributions to the cause of building Lang Son province to develop rapidly and sustainably on the path of integration.
