Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh visited and wished longevity to the elderly in Dai Loc district.

(QNO) - On the occasion of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Elderly (June 6), on the afternoon of May 30, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh led a working delegation to visit and celebrate the longevity of 6 outstanding elderly people aged 90 and 100 in the communes/towns of Dai Loc district.

The delegation visited, presented birthday greetings, birthday wishes and gifts to typical elderly people such as: Tran Mien (100 years old), Le Diem (100 years old), residing in Hoa My village, Dai Nghia commune; Nguyen Thi Hoc (100 years old), residing in village 3, Dai Hoa commune; Nguyen Danh (100 years old), residing in Phuoc My area, Ai Nghia town. The delegation also visited, wished longevity and gave gifts to 90-year-old people such as: Tran Thi Muoi (90 years old), residing in Phuoc My area, Ai Nghia town and Nguyen Thi Anh (90 years old), residing in Phu Phuoc village, Dai An commune.

At the places he visited, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh presented birthday cards to the elderly who were turning 100 years old, presented meaningful gifts and fresh bouquets of flowers to them. At the same time, he wished them a happy and healthy life, always promoting their role as "tall trees" in the family and society, forever being a shining example for the younger generations to follow.

Comrade Nguyen Cong Thanh also hopes that Party committees at all levels, authorities, unions, and socio -political organizations will continue to promote their role in caring for the elderly in the community.
