Hanoi City People's Committee has just issued Document No. 3274/UBND-NNMT on focusing on site clearance and accelerating public investment progress in the city.
The City People's Committee directs the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to be proactive and resolute in site clearance for projects in the area; in case of any problems, study similar cases where the city has removed policies, and promptly report to the City People's Committee for direction and resolution.
Strengthen land management, combat encroachment and illegal construction, and promptly resolve land violations.
Units continue to be open, transparent and promote democracy in site clearance; propagate and mobilize people to understand and comply with the land recovery policy of competent authorities.
The City People's Committee requests that the city's departments, branches and sectors proactively propose and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to resolve difficulties and problems in land acquisition and site clearance; promptly guide and prepare sufficient land and resettlement housing funds, ensuring publicity and transparency, and that people whose land is acquired must have housing and a life equal to or better than their old place of residence.
Also according to the above document, the City People's Committee specifically considers reserving land funds in urban and housing projects to be handed over to the city for resettlement of people whose land is recovered to implement key projects (especially land recovery projects in locations with high commercial value).
