The Provincial People's Committee Trade Union was established under Decision No. 570 dated February 11, 2025 of the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation. Currently, the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union manages 40 affiliated grassroots trade unions (handover from the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union, the Health Sector Trade Union, and theEducation Sector Trade Union after the end of operation) with nearly 5,000 Vietnamese workers.
Caring for children of Vietnamese workers is an activity in the women's work of the trade union, therefore, although it was established not long ago, the activities of caring for, educating and protecting children have been focused on by the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union with many innovations in content and implementation. With the care of the trade union, the education of the family, the school, and the efforts of the children themselves, many children have actively participated in competitions and achieved many high achievements in studying and improving in life.
During the program, delegates enjoyed special performances by young people and children; and watched a report on the work of the trade union organization in caring for children of Vietnamese workers.
On this occasion, nearly 100 students with achievements in national, provincial, district and city-level excellent student competitions were commended and rewarded.
At the same time, 36 children in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses received gifts from the Provincial People's Committee's Trade Union and the Provincial Red Cross Society.
The program was organized to promptly commend and reward the children of Vietnamese workers who achieved high academic achievements, and to give gifts to children who overcame difficulties in conjunction with the 2025 Children's Day program. Through this, the role of the trade union organization in caring for the children of Vietnamese workers was affirmed.
