Ke Go Lake is overflowing at a flow rate of 50 m3 /second.

On the morning of August 27, Mr. Tran Manh Cuong - Director of Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited confirmed: Ke Go Lake (in Cam Due commune) is being overflowed with a flow rate of 50 m3 /second. The operation of regulating water through Doc Mieu spillway of the lake has been carried out since 7am today.

At the time of spillover, the water level of Ke Go Lake was at 28.05/32 m, equivalent to a capacity of 226.25/345 million m 3 . The end time of spillover is based on the lake water level and weather conditions.

Due to the impact of storm No. 5, Ha Tinh province experienced widespread heavy rain with a flow of 100 mm - 200 mm, with the Cam Xuyen area (near Ke Go lake) receiving up to 542 mm of rain. Heavy rain caused the water flow to Ke Go lake to increase rapidly, from 25.14/32 m (August 23) to 28.05/32 m (August 27), exceeding the overflow threshold by 1.55 m.

Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited has also sent a notice to the downstream localities about releasing spillway to regulate water when the reservoir water level exceeds the spillway threshold - 26.5 m.

At this time, many large reservoirs in Ha Tinh are also operating to discharge spillways.

Specifically, Song Rac Lake (Cam Lac Commune) spills 30m 3 /second; Khe Xai Lake (Thach Xuan Commune) spills 5.7m 3 /second; Boc Nguyen Lake (Cam Due Commune) spills 5m 3 /second; Thuong Song Tri Lake (Ky Hoa Commune) spills 10m 3 /second; Kim Son Lake (Ky Hoa Commune) spills 5.18m 3 /second; Da Han Lake (Huong Binh Commune) spills 20m 3 /second...
